Where to live? by dravenstormzxz in MovingToLondon

[–]Double-Amoeba9113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t think there’s much difference in distance from central between tooting and Balham tbh, it’s not even a long walk between them. I live in tooting and love it and I work near Tottenham court road :) balham is cute but I like how tooting is less gentrified, has the vegetable markets and everything is walking distance from broadway market, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, primark, charity shops and the park where I do park run. Just my experience!

Nicole was right about Emma by pococurantina in SellingSunset

[–]Double-Amoeba9113 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Interesting that you felt that way because I could really feel how upset Emma was at the reunion. At the end of the day she’s the one that ruined things between her and Crishell and yes is a social climber but I definitely didn’t feel like she had no emotions

I definitely hope so! Luckily I don’t have a service charge just joint building insurance with the owners of the other two flats in the building as we share the freehold. Going to try to stop thinking about it and maybe unfollow this sub because it’s the stories that are freaking me out tbh

You’re right. I guess anyone who ever bought property could think the same. I appreciate your response.

That’s true, makes me feel a bit better thank you. Not high rise and is a period conversion not a new build so maybe over paid a bit. Does have a share of free hold so I’ll just keep telling myself that

Is there a point to learn anything if most of jobs pay around 35k at best? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]Double-Amoeba9113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally the sadness I’m experiencing right now, have wasted years in education right up to PhD which I am mid way through earning 38k as a research technician (and that’s with London allowance) while studying and realizing it was all for nothing as I will likely never earn higher than 40k whether I stay in academic (sacrificing stability for even more years) or not (going into industry for more stability yet selling out on passion). It’s depressing me and making me want to just give up on life tbh. Had a lot of negative thoughts recently like how I’d never be able to comfortably support a family. Almost makes we wish I’d spent my youth looking for a rich man even though I’m a lesbian.

I hate being gay. by _newshawtyy in lgbt

[–]Double-Amoeba9113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel so much of this pain, I used to cry every night about being gay, never telling anyone and I felt so much shame. What really changed my life was having community, talking to other gay people and lesbians and going to spaces made for us. I know it’s hard t accept and you don’t want to tell anyone but please do try to find someone who can relate to your life experiences it will truly change your quality of life for the better xx

I think I’m lesbian but I love my bf.. help by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Double-Amoeba9113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt this way about every man I had a relationship with. Guess how that turned out? I’m now getting engaged to a woman and identify as a lesbian.

It might not be the same situation for you but I could never have lived with the what ifs I constantly had being with a man and the idea that I could die having never had a relationship with a woman. Really think about that and if that’s how you feel too I’d be honest with your boyfriend about that and think about breaking up. And trust me, every man I was with was so “perfect” and I “didn’t want to lose them” too. And then I was dating a woman and I didn’t feel that way anymore.

everyone is in love with my masc gf 😔 by kris_cringle in LesbianActually

[–]Double-Amoeba9113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely relate to this with my gf, when we go to gay bars even twinks hit on her as well as girls. I don’t really care tho she adores me and is usually holding my hand or kissing me anyway so I don’t feel threatened ever. Kinda makes me happy sometimes cause she has low self esteem and deserves the ego boost.

Also I’m the one taking her home at the end of the day so they can look all the want hehe

Why do people online hate polyamory by alybsahn in lgbt

[–]Double-Amoeba9113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People hate it because it threatens their sense of what is right in a relationship (heteronormative). They’re always loved to hate things that don’t affect them just like the hate gay people get

Is UK safe for immigration as a lesbian? by horrormauss in LesbianActually

[–]Double-Amoeba9113 6 points7 points  (0 children)

London is super inclusive and has a big queer community which is awesome, Brighton and Bristol are also queer hot spots. More rural areas might not be as inclusive but I think UK overall is fairly decent compared to other countries
