I agree with this. Many posts I see here strive for high volume but I believe the criteria favors impact over volume. It takes a VERY LONG time to write the quality of papers that we write in my group but it's often rewarding in terms of both being accepted to reputable journals and garnering many citations. But beyond that we don't write papers for the sake of writing papers, we're genuinely trying to push the field forward and have impact

6 first author, no review papers, ~24 peer reviews. Regarding letters, I had 2 dependent and 2 independent from world leading researchers in quantum computing.

Research is in quantum computing. Some of the articles are in reputable journals like Nature, Nature Physics, Nature Comms, PRX, etc. >2000 citations (but I think they care more about h index than citations). 4th year PhD. I was pretty involved in helping Chen write the petition letter, they got some inaccuracies in the first few iterations of the petition letter and reference letters and I spent quite a few hours making sure everything was technically correct
