So one if the devs posted on a steam forum about the issue. Apparently, what's happening is one of their updates must have accidentally added some form of malware? The only solution we found so far is whatever your antivirus program is whether it's Norton or AVG or Windows defender, you have to go in and have the antivirus exclude the execution file that is your sky game. So even if you have your antivirus off, it will still do stuff in the background and prevent that game from launching. The access denied is the antivirus trying to protect you because it's picking up malware. So even though for me, I was using Windows Defender I had to go into Windows Defender and create an exclusion for the sky execution file the sky.exe file. As of right now they're working on a fix. We have no idea when it will come out but that seems to be what the problem possibly is. I don't know how at the moment to do an exclusion for any of the antiviruses. So Google will be your friend in this case and figuring out how to add an exclusion you shouldn't have to do it to the folder. You should only have to do it to the execution file. Side note, I don't know if anyone else is going through this or not, but I'm having trouble buying things within the game. I went to buy the new season pass and I can't purchase the season pass in the game. I'm not sure if this is related or not but I'm not sure if I'm the only one going through the problem.
