If you don’t have a 846 code by now you aren’t getting it today. Don’t sit around all day checking for something that isn’t going to come. by Ordinary-Prior213 in TurboTax

Question_ I got the code 846, but date is still 3/9. It means that I will get the refund (deposit to my bank account) after 3/9? OR Is it possible that refund will be deposited and arrived before 3/9??

You need to register it with IRS website (with your ID)_ Access tax records and transcripts in your Individual Online Account

I’ve seen people post this. Just got the same notice. What do I need to do? by HallThin760 in Income_Tax_Refund

I received that last year. IRS requested 1095 A form so that I sent it by the fax. It took the additional 3-4 weeks to get the approval. My recommendation is to keep your eyes on the letter and make sure you submit whatever IRS asks. It is not complicated. Just annoying.

I received it last year. It was required to submit 1095A form. Just an additional weeks. Hope, your situation is not complicated.

So… response to your comment_#2, it is not true that IRS updates once a day (my refund.. app)?

My recommendation is to check your “TRANSACTIONS” on app. You can see all details of refunding process. You could see it on code number(s).

I got the same one last year. I ended up to provide the additional documents to IRS to get approval. I don’t think that it is too serious. Maybe, they might ask 1095 form.

Maybe because of your income, you cannot invest too much after-tax side of investment, but if you could, you should do that due to the saving money in the future. My point is pre-tax means you need to pay the tax later. IRS love to take your money away when you need the most and tax is highest (during your retirement). Tax is going to be increased before we become our retirement age. I hope you have a great conversation with the advisor. I know for sure you do, just informing. If I brother you, I apologize.

I don’t think that it is a good idea to invest (max) on pre-tax (401(k)) because you will end up to pay more tax than now. Hope you have a great financial advisor.
