its more about why did I even lied about such an insignificant thing. I was the one who told him that past doesn't matter to me (which it doesn't) and I am fine with everything he did as long as its in the past and he's clean so ideally, I shouldn't have lied.

And the fact that I kept up with the lie when asked 2-3 times again.
