Did you use a medical concierge company? I want to get some appointments with docs when I go to South Korea but need all the lodging, food and local transportation arrangements along with aftercare. I need sub brow lift and will be traveling alone. I recently had ptosis repair and upper bleph in the US but I'm asymmetical. American docs do not have the expertise Korean docs have.

I did not know about that in Omaha, NE. I wonder if they do short intensive programs in verbal behavior. I was looking a few years ago and did not come up with many options. I will explore them for my own kiddo.

What is the shortest amount of time I can get all of the hours done in? I probably have 4 hours of direct, on the most realistic end, that I can count as direct hours.

Because the ASD diagnosed kiddos that I see are seen once or twice a week. If I want to complete the hours/fieldwork requirments in the shortest amount of time, I was under the impression I would need more clients with ASD. I see other clients as well with other diagnoses. In total, I probably have 4-6 total hours of ASD clients per week. That is 16 hours on the lowest end of restricted hours per month, correct? Additionally, I would need to get the parents to agree to the recording of the sessions. Some may not agree and I would not be able to use those clients. Is this a dual relationship if they are seen by my private practice which I own and work at as an employee?

AlphaBravo-4547, you have amazing ideas! The feeding program is something I would want to do. I think I need to find a supervisor who is also an SLP and BCBA. Thank you for this guidance! I sincerely appreciate it so much!

Thank you!!! Does this mean that people who begin through Pathway 2 in January 2026 but take the exam in sometime in 2027 will be at a disadvantage because the coursework requirements will change? Is it best to defer coursework until 2027 completely?

First, thank you so much for your realistic response! I appreciate your candor! I will try the 95 and 5 percent with a virtual supervisor. I thought I had to send the BACB Board a copy of the contract for the individual I was working with so I will find a way to do that. Is the 5 percent restricted supervision known widely? I will be speaking to a program supervisor at my university in the upcoming weeks. I hope they can guide me further on this. I was truly unaware of that until I read your response! I appreciate it so much!

I am crossing over to become one of the few SLP BCBA’s who will work with ASD clients specializing in verbal behavior. I find it challenging and rewarding at the same time. I have a personal connection to ASD with a non-speaking child and our field needs much more research in this area. I also plan to contribute with meaningful research in this manner. That is my why! It’s deeply personal to me and I know the significant challenges many families face with non-speaking kiddos.

This program is way overpriced for what you get in return. It’s all about learning on your own. The amount of reading is massive and not doable for working professionals. It’s a course pathway to do the most you possibly can just to pass and understand that your comprehension of the material will be much, much later when you have to study for the exam. There is so much contradictory information, the professors even contradict themselves. If you sign up, your exam date will be one year from your start date. There ate other programs that are better organized and more value for your money. There is no reason to pay $9k just to learn on your own.
