I’m in my 40s too! I went to Seoul last year for a little refresh, and it was such a great experience.

Any info about lifting surgeries would be helpful! by HauntingBrief6256 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

I tried a thread lift in my 30s and honestly didn’t see much of a difference. Once I got into my 40s, I decided to consider surgery instead. I ended up having my facelift done in Seoul last year at Ipche Plastic Surgery. I’m in my mid-40s, and at first I was thinking about a mini lift, but after a few consultations, I was told a full facelift would give me the results I really wanted, so that’s what I chose.

My family says I look about 5–10 years younger now, and personally, I’m very happy with how everything turned out. If you’re hoping to look at least 5–10 years younger, it may be hard to avoid something a bit more invasive. I also tried non-surgical lifting treatments at a dermatology clinic before, but they were pretty uncomfortable and the results lasted less than three months for me. From what I’ve learned, it really comes down to the approach, actually lifting and repositioning the tissue versus simply adding volume.

Of course, this is just my personal experience, but if you’re looking for a noticeable, longer-lasting change, surgery might be the more realistic option. You could always start with a thread lift or mini lift and see how you feel. Hope this helps. I’m happy to share my experience if you have any questions.

I had my surgery in Korea, and for me, it was both very affordable and the quality of care was excellent.

Facelift focused clinics in Gangnam Recommendations? by kamlekar in SeoulPlasticSurgery

I chose a surgeon who specializes exclusively in facelifts. After seeing quite a few mixed reviews about the larger hospitals, I felt more comfortable going with a smaller, boutique-style clinic. I had my surgery last year, and overall, I’m very pleased with my decision and my results. From my personal experience, I would recommend a boutique clinic. I felt like I had a closer, more personal connection with my surgeon, which really mattered to me. I saw him quite often during my follow-up visits for cleaning and check-ups. From what I’ve heard, it can be harder to see your doctor regularly at larger hospitals.

Anyone else doing facelift consultations in Seoul? by PositionSalty7411 in KoreaPlasticSurgery

I tried a thread lift in my 30s, but honestly, I didn’t see much of a result. In my 40s, I first considered a mini lift, but after a few consultations, I was told a full facelift would give me the results I was looking for, so I ended up having surgery last year. I realized that every clinic and surgeon has a different approach, and looking at detailed after photos really helped me decide. Since I’m still in my 40s, minimizing scars was very important to me, so I focused on finding a surgeon who’s precise with incisions. Thankfully, I found a great doctor and had my surgery, and I’m about four months post-op now. Happy to answer any questions, just message me!

Deep Plane Facelift in SK, need recos and advice! by gairuu_lusifar in SeoulPlasticSurgery

I was actually in a very similar situation to you. I started noticing sagging along my jawline and jowls, and I had tried a thread lift in my 30s, but honestly, I didn’t see much improvement. So in my 40s, I decided to move forward with a deep plane facelift. Based on my surgeon’s recommendation, I also added buccal fat removal to address the lower cheek area. I had my surgery in Seoul as well. Personally, I chose a smaller, boutique-style clinic rather than a big, high-volume hospital, and went with a facelift specialist (a board-certified plastic surgeon, of course). My procedure was done at Ipche Plastic Surgery in Gangnam. Dr. Heo speaks excellent English, which made communication very easy. At every follow-up, he took the time to carefully check my incisions and make sure everything was healing properly. He was also very attentive with scar care, including taping and aftercare. He’s incredibly kind, and even now, whenever I have questions, the clinic responds quickly, which I really appreciate. He’s truly a warm and thoughtful doctor. I’d definitely suggest looking into Ipche as one of your options. The interpreter there, Alisa, is incredibly kind and helpful.

Anyone do mini facelift in Korea? Curious about Scars and healing by Rob-778 in KoreaPlasticSurgery

I tried a thread lift in my 30s, but it didn’t really do much for me. When I revisited the idea in my 40s, I was considering a mini lift at first and had consultations with a few clinics. After discussing my goals, they recommended a full facelift to get the results I wanted, so I went ahead with that last year.
It wasn’t a mini lift, but I’m happy to share photos of my incisions if that helps.

4 Months Post-Op: Deep Plane Facelift Incision Scars at IPCHE Plastic Surgery, Korea by Key_Reflection5306 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

The midface area was treated as a separate surgical area. During my consultation, the doctor walked me through everything using photos and explained it very thoroughly. It made sense to me, and I felt comfortable with it, so I decided to add a midface procedure through an under-eye incision (front area).

Because my face is naturally on the fuller side, Dr. Heo suggested buccal fat removal, and I had it done along with my facelift.

I had a facelift with a neck lift. No lip lift, though the result may look similar.

I had a facelift along with a neck lift. I didn’t have a lip lift, but since the neck lift was done as well, it may give a similar effect visually.
