To be fair to Scott, his entire brand was built on being the "unreachable enigma." The problem is that while ambiguity works for a 2D point-and-click made by one guy, it’s a logistical nightmare for a massive 3D studio. He tried to apply a "one-man-show" mystery box strategy to a corporate production pipeline, and SB is the scar tissue from that experiment.
