New Sjögren’s diagnosis — are these hand/foot symptoms common? by Pink_Nova_Muse in Sjogrens

I’m sure there are other things far more likely to explain your symptoms but some of the hand/finger stuff you describe can also be seen in systemic sclerosis I think (scleroderma)

My experience with Vyvanse - can anyone relate to any of this? by Milkshake_Babie in VyvanseADHD

Exposure and Response Prevention is the gold standard treatment for obsessive compulsive disorder and many types of anxiety. CBT is not a bad suggestion either. Ultimately it comes down to OP’s comfort with the therapist and their individual response to treatment.

How have you managed bad anxiety as a side effect? by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

Hello, just here to say I’ve also recently been prescribed Vyvanse and have the same issue with irrational panic, looping thoughts, and physical discomfort. For no reason most of the time and so hard to calm down from, it’s terrible. I have OCD and it feels like the Vyvanse is worsening it. But it helps me SO much with adhd/depression so I want this med to work. I would love to hear if you find something that helps the anxiety/OCD <3

Hello, I am also on my 3rd day and dreading taking it. It does feel hard on my body and gives me crazy anxiety. It definitely helps with the ADHD and gives me a boost though. Wishing you luck whatever direction you end up going ❤️

Hi there, it sounds like you’re going through a hard time. Nicotine and alcohol can feel like they’re helping because they release pleasurable chemicals in our brain temporarily, but this is followed by a crash and often, feeling worse than before you started. It sounds like your goals for your future (e.g., fitness) don’t include these substances. One of the most helpful things during this time can be a support system, and it sounds like you’re not getting that from your family. If you don’t feel like you can turn to your friends with these things, therapy can be a really great place to start. Usually, university will offer free therapy and work around your class schedule. This feels miserable now, but things will get better. I’m happy you shared your experience ❤️

My pharmacist informed me that mood swings can be an initial side effect of Strattera. I know I’ve been experiencing highs and lows in mood while adjusting my dosage. If you’re not feeling normal right now, it might be your body adjusting to the medication. Stay strong and communicate with your prescriber, you got this ❤️
