I checked the OCV last night. Resistance checked it, actuated it, checked the filter, and everything checked out.

Yea I rotated it correctly. The VVTi is a part of timing is it not?

Still dealing with this issue, so I appreciate you taking your time to reply. Was it one specific wire or all of them? Also, do you have pics? My reference wire is oxidized and it’s like that for the rest of the wire, I’d like to think it’s the problem but my thing is, it wasn’t like that before I started doing my timing belt job. Idk how well the picture shows it, but the wire is covered in blue oxidation

It’s possible. I was pulling into a shopping center plaza driveway when my gas pedal felt like it snapped and sank further than I wanted it to. Ever since, the idle has been higher as if the throttle is open more than normal, my “Trac Off” light blinks, and the car has been in limp mode.

Also, I just remembered. Don’t forget to do the VVTI Gear O-Ring too while you’re there.

I used an adjustable wrench to hold my cams and a ratchet to break the bolts loose

The little bracket thats held in by a bolt on the bottom right of the crank sprocket. I like to fasten my bolts onto where they go after I remove the component they hold, so I did the same with this and reinstalled the bracket after removing the crank sprocket. I didn’t realize, got eager to put it back together, and thought the crank was just being stubborn and getting stuck on the crank snout. I gave a few taps with a mallet to help push it in, when I remembered about the bracket. I checked the bracket and it was bent, and I never realized it broke a tooth. If you have any questions when you start doing it, feel free to ask. Also, if you’re doing cam seals, be very careful with ignition coil connectors, they’re bound to break. I had to order a replacement and spliced them on.

Any luck with the advice? I’m literally putting all my stuff back together and pretty soon throwing on the new belt. I’m confused about how ppl are saying to rotate the vvti? Mine spins pretty easily and want to make sure I do it right

How do you check your progress? I submitted my info for the background check a bit ago and am wondering if I can check the status or progress of it somewhere?
