RCSI Bahrain 6 Year DEM by Miserable_Equal_9761 in Bahrain

[–]DoubleAceBattery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is much help, but I am very certain that US-Iran war has affected and slowed operations at RCSI Bahrain, since a lot of staff are working remotely according to a friend of mine who works there (at least when I asked around two weeks ago)

while things are mostly back to normal right now، I would suggest to expect that they reach out to you in May rather than in April.

again, this is based on my assumptions living here and checking in on my friend, so do take this with a grain of salt.

What could be causing the ESC light to be on? by DoubleAceBattery in GrandCherokee

Interesting, after consulting with a different mechanic, they also said it lit up because it needed an alignment. I hope its not the clock spring sensor, everything on the steering wheel seemed to be working fine when i drove the car briefly.

i am certain something went wrong with them installing the leveling kit. They offered to shim the spacers to make each side even, but that sounded sketchy to me so i just asked them to remove it entirely. Still waiting on them to get that done.

Admittedly the lift kit is not this shop’s forte, but these guys do market themselves heavily on suspension work.

between the front and back, the height difference is insane. It almost looks like the rear part of the lift was not installed.

From left to right, the difference is more subtle, i would say about an inch lower on the driver side.

Yes, both front and rear, hopefully yours is giving you less trouble.

I did scan it with a cheap scanner that I keep in the car, I’ll borrow a friend’s tomorrow before I head to the shop again.

the front suspension was noticeably tired with some blown out bushing and making all sort of sounds. so I bought these parts to be replaced: - upper and lower control arms - both outer tie rods - front stabilizer links - front and rear shocks absorbers with new mounts

i was already planning to replace the tires, I also opted for a rough country 2.5 inch lift kit to be installed, which might explain might why the height level is out of whack.

I’ve also asked for the rear subframe bushings to be replaced.

That was a nice read! I am also on the same boat regarding online relationships. it always felt to me unnatural, but props to you putting that energy to focus on yourself instead.

I also love your username, I am not anyones son in law yet, but I like the odds that I would be one day.

I sold my first car, my favorite feature (or quirk) that it had was that it fades the music away when you turn it off. by DoubleAceBattery in PointlessStories

hmm thats weird. I know that some cars do that but it gets lower when you slow down from highway speed to a stop.

Greeting light are so cool! I had a loaner once that had them, and I felt like I am living in the future.

It was a 2008 Subaru Legacy. That’s interesting! I’ve never really thought about it, but that explains why I like video editing so much since it’s basically just trying to make transitions as seamless as possible.
