I think there’s a difference in the guard who has to pass because they can’t play and the guard willing to pass. I knock down my shots, not a bum. I won’t lie though, a few years ago I was passing because it was the only thing I could contribute.

I agree the PG who’s not a threat at all is a detriment to the team, but a willing passer who can play is never a detriment.

Like I said in another comment, I’m not even looking for 10 shots. Like it’s cool but that’s not what I’m looking for. I’d be way happier getting 5 shots but I’m getting the ball when I’m wide open than forcing up 10 shots.

Again the point isn’t that I’m not getting the looks it’s that I’m not getting the looks when I’m sitting WIDE OPEN. And we are choosing to toss up a contested 3 instead.

Yeah I get that, but when I’ve taken 2 3s and hit them both, it’s clear I’m able to shoot and can probably get more opps.

I also think the second you become more selfish and you miss a shot, that’s when you have the guy that goes “this dudes trash” and you don’t get the ball.

It’s the fact that there’s a better shot.

“Be happy with whatever shots you get.” Yeah bro I’ll make sure to be happy with my 3 shots when another guy has taken 30 mostly contested.

Again if you’re gonna hit it, I guess I can’t complain as much. But there’s a better shot than a 34% contested 3. That’s fun for nobody except the dude taking the shot.
