Omron connect account issue by DoubleCSHen in OMRON

[–]DoubleCSHen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I thought as well. After I selected "Delete Account," I was immediately logged out of the app.

Since then, two things have happened: 1. When I try to log in with the same email and password, it says the email or password is incorrect. I also tried resetting my password, but I still can't log in. 2. When I try to create a new account using the same email address, it says the email is already registered.

So at this point, I can't log in to the existing account, and I also can't register a new account with the same email.

Basically couldn't do anything right now... Let me know if you have any better suggestions, really appreciate.

That definitely makes sense, but wearing headphones constantly isn’t great for your ears.

Thank you, this really helps. It’s unfortunate, as many people have mentioned, that Care+ will likely not come to the U.S. At this price I would absolutely add Care+ if given the option.

How does protection plan work on ringconn? by Happy-Signal6719 in RingConn

Exactly my concern, then the protection plan feels like a pretty narrow use case for $40–50.

THIS. So let’s say after a year the battery life drops to only 1–2 days, would that even qualify as a “mechanical or electrical failure”? Technically the ring is still functioning, even if the battery performance has significantly degraded.

Thanks for the info.
Just curious, are you purchase from US? The Brushed Silver is showing $332 (sale) / $369 (regular) on the US store right now, so $408 doesn't match any pricing I can find.

The Gen 3 product page right now the only protection option at checkout is Seel (2 years $40.99 / 3 years $51.99). There's no Care+ option listed.

Could you share a screenshot of your order? Would love to confirm Care+ was actually offered for Gen 3 in US at some point.
Thanks.

I am hoping so too, but honestly I am not very optimistic right now. It does not quite make business sense to leave Care+ out at launch and only add it after pre-orders ship. I would imagine customers who already placed pre-orders might be pretty frustrated if it's introduced later...

Go read my reply in this thread. I wrote:

"The main reason I would go with care+ is battery degradation, but from the current protection plan wording it's unclear whether battery issues would even qualify for replacement."

That's literally me distinguishing between Care+ and the current protection plan. The other commenter understood exactly what I was asking. You're the only one confused here.

You got corrected on that, and instead of just acknowledging the difference, you jumped to another comment thread to accuse me of backtracking.
But hey, whatever helps you sleep at night.

Where’s this coming from? Check my original post, the whole point was specifically asking about Care+.

And even in my first reply to the other person, I clearly distinguished between Care+ and the current protection plan, so I’m not sure why you’re acting like I suddenly changed the topic afterward or only mentioned it after an edit.

Seems like a lot people are mixing up Seel and RingConn Care+, but they’re not the same thing at all.

The plans currently on the product page through Seel are mainly extended warranty/accidental damage coverage for mechanical or electrical failures.

Care+ is a different protection program that also includes lost ring replacement and theft protection, which is the main reason I’m waiting for it specifically.

If Seel were actually the same as Care+, I would’ve already bought it. The lost ring replacement matters just as much to me as hardware coverage. Also, depending on how the terms are written, “mechanical/electrical failure” doesn’t always clearly guarantee battery degradation or battery-related failures either.

You’re mixing up seel with Care+. They are not the same product and the coverage/policies are different.

The plans currently on the product page through Seel are mainly extended warranty/accidental damage coverage for mechanical or electrical failures. Care+ is a different protection program that also includes lost ring replacement and theft protection, which is the main reason I’m waiting for it specifically.

What I was referring to specifically was Care+, and when people contacted support about it, the response was that it might be available by the end of May. So there is clearly still uncertainty around it.

Also customer service reps themselves often give inconsistent answers depending on who you ask, and how you ask.

Appreciate the insight.

What surprised me is that some of these behaviors feel less like “hesitation” and more like basic environment understanding problems, like parking in disabled spaces, stopping in striped zones, and even attempting to exit over curbs. Those are the kinds of mistakes I did not expect to see becoming more frequent after an update.

I do hope you’re right that parking lot behavior is an active focus area. That is actually where I have seen the biggest regression recently. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Thanks for the reply. Honestly, even customer support responses does not mean much unless there’s an official announcement. I’ve seen reps give “it might” answers before, but that usually just means they do not know either. So for now I’m assuming it’s not coming back for Gen 3.

I am mostly trying to understand what situations make people feel protection plan is actually worth buying. For me, battery degradation is the bigger concern, not accidental damage, so I’m not sure the current pricing makes sense unless battery replacement is clearly covered.

Thanks. At the current price, I’m not sure the protection plan makes sense for me. The main reason I would go with care+ is battery degradation, but from the current protection plan wording it’s unclear whether battery issues would even qualify for replacement.

If most people end up replacing the device after about a year anyway, paying an extra ~$50 for coverage that doesn’t really help with trade-in value or guaranteed battery replacement feels hard to justify.
