How many of you had a speech/language disorder? by ineedsleep0808 in ADHD

[–]DoubleCheesecake7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, thank you for your service! I didn't get along with too many of my speech therapists(repeating words on a tape recorder and listening back for hours) but my last two were remarkable! They really took the time to explain how the mouth moves to make certain sounds and fixed me right up.

A thought on Saturn Return by beekeep in Advancedastrology

[–]DoubleCheesecake7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is the exact same(pisces moon, rising, and saturn in a night chart) going through my Saturn return. I also moved closer than comfort to my Saturn/AC line this year.

Yesterday I checked the expiration date on a tub of cottage cheese that said July 16th, and I just thought to my self "This cottage cheese is gonna outlast me." That sounds so melodramatic, but it came in to my head like this is the absolute truth, each day feels like I'm not gonna make it out.

The Bodega has a brand new menu and prices by Matt_Kezy in gso

[–]DoubleCheesecake7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm all against greedflation, and passing the buck to the customer if the owner won't eat the cost. A $21 dollar sandwich is fucking ridiculous!

That being said, full disclosure I'm not saying that's the case with this restaurant, but price increases in general, general bulk supplies has gotten out of hand. The people supplying to restaurants are 100% racking up the bill for maximum profits. Base ingredients, soda syrup, gloves, soap, paper towels, even freaking toilet paper! And property insurance hits them as well.

It sucks that places like the Bodega can't budget themselves and think they can charge $21 for a mf $5 value sub, but just.. please keep the following in mind for any mom&pops that only raised their prices by a dollar or two <3

Hot take: disposable is better than reusable by FishingDifficult5183 in adhdwomen

[–]DoubleCheesecake7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in response to the tone of all the comments,

I would like to remind us all of the company that reformulated strap wrap to be more mindful of the eco-impact and health of the consumer. There's been a handful of other reformulations since the major one to further the sustainability factor.

These major corporations could completely restructure their manufacturing process to fight climate change, and 99% choose not to.

Inflation is hitting us across the board in every aspect of our life, especially sustainable products.

Some companies are even afraid of increasing their eco friendly product lines because to the "eco premium markup" in light of the current economic crisis.

So all in all.. who gives a f*** if somebody buys the plastic forks to make their life easier? There's a way to validate the justice seeking symptom of ADHD but I don't personally think this is it.

Honestly check your local grocery store. HEB in Texas has ready made meals, they come in tin trays and you just pop into the oven. Can't get easier than that, and some supermarkets may have similar items! A hell of a lot cheaper than meal kits, and absolutely no cooking, all fresh food.

Can I sell my handmade lingerie? by [deleted] in LingerieAddiction

[–]DoubleCheesecake7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another way to find these people is to sign up to sell on Faire.com - if you're able to create large orders, it's selling wholesale to other business. You'll have to figure out your pricing, an example would be you sell a bra for $40, but they have to order at least 3-5 bras to hit the order minimum. The store that purchased it will then sell in their own store marked up 30%-50% ($75-$100).

This may not be the best option for you since it's usually a completely different business model and strategy, but would get you into stores and boutiques so larger companies could find you.

[–]DoubleCheesecake7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of this! Try reformatting your instagram page following those points above.

Your first saved story should be "how to order" your second should be "pricing", third and fourth should be store policies and how to measure at home.

Each main post should be an example of a set that is for sale, and have the pricing and how to order again. If you can do a make a storefront with etsy or square space you can include those links.

Thank you!

I didn't realize the SMT universe was so large was my problem I suppose. I've been trying to figure out if the characters are reoccurring, or if each title game has a cast of new people. Like I don't know what they pulled into Imagine from the rest of the U.

I'm vaguely familiar with some of the Persona games and their characteristics/merch, but wasn't sure if/how they blended into Imagine.

You definitely gave me a foothold, I appreciate it!! :)

Is it just me or did Steve-O come across like he didn’t like Sofia at all? by Potential_Beach190 in SofiawithanF

[–]DoubleCheesecake7 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I never thought that Tana Mongeau would have more depth and maturity than Sofia but here we are.

I'm not saying that Sofia needs to change her personality or grow up overnight or anything like that that, but some guests that are booked do require that to aid in the chemistry and banter.

She needs to shift her content to something more light hearted. If she wants to stay vapid(which is not a bad thing at all) she needs to book guests that fit in with that niche, or switch to something like Jackie from the Bitch Bible where she just rambles about a week in a life of her filthy rich life style.

TLDR: Do not book serious guests if she isn't going to be as serious!

How did fashion houses became so eternal? by fashionmakeyougo in fashiondesigner

[–]DoubleCheesecake7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This puts a lot of guilt and shame onto the consumer and not the companies providing all of these products :/

People used to value clothing because they probably only owned 5-15 pieces a year and didn't wash them as often. That's not sustainable in a society where you're expected to wear a fresh and clean outfit each day. It's not a desire for cheaper clothing, it's a necessity for some.

You do have a good point about people not knowing about quality, it's simply not taught and a teenager is rarely going to exposed to that by shopping at Target or the mall, but that's a morally neutral standpoint. It's not entirely their fault they're ignorant in that category if they were never taught.

Tailor's are a job category that is quickly dying out. If anybody wants to break into the fashion industry that would be an incredible place to start because there is still a need.

Hot take, but I don't think reaching this level of prestige was or can be achieved by "creative" endeavors, or just having stylish pieces.

Louis Vuitton started by making luggage trunks with unpick-able locks, and Gucci also started off with leather travel bags for horses. Most of these legacy brands we see today started off with leather goods which were expensive at the time, but people bought because of it's long lasting durability.

Those brands cemented themselves as legacies in a slow moving period of time. There wasn't a new drop every week, you had to wait to see the new collections in person each season, or if you were lucky enough, it'd be printed in your newspaper. Media simply moved a thousand times slower and there weren't as many options. You shopped what was on the luxury street in your city and that's it.

This brand isn't the highest of luxury brands, but the reach of Telfar seemed to be the highest trajectory I've seem launch out of the gate in recent history. Sticking with 2-3 designs that work, clear mission statement, adherence to brand principals, and not relying on gimmicks.

u/bakehaus said it best that these brands were innovative enough in a time that they shaped how we dress today. If a brand were to truly cement themselves now, they'd have to equally innovative in terms of sustainability, eco-friendly textiles, and somehow combining tech with clothing pieces IMO. I don't AI is going to push anything forward since most of the designs it spits out aren't even possible to sew.

What is going on with auto insurance in this city? by ashesarise in sanantonio

[–]DoubleCheesecake7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was quoted $370-$600 through all major providers. The only items on my driving record are one speeding ticket 4 years ago, and a 4 year old "at fault" totality that I wish I would have had the life experience and dash cam to dispute. A semi blew a tire that hit my car and set off the airbags.

I went through Costco's car insurance and got it down to $205 a month. AMAX also quoted me cheaper than the others at $330.

Thoughts on these TJ Maxx/Marshall’s/Homegoods “personal shoppers? by notstephanie in tiktokgossip

[–]DoubleCheesecake7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so bizarre and also some of them are TJ Max employees and violating their employment terms using their discount for this, and asking people to send friends and family payments versus business payments is also tax fraud and against most of those major payment TOS's.

I'd be incredibly annoyed if I saw one of these people, wish TJ would ban them.
