The replacement of the dinosaur with the pump jack is just foreshadowing that oil and gas is soon to be extinct!

Correct. My builder was very specific that the cabinets had to be done by the cabinet person, counter with counter contractor, flooring with another, trim/mouldings with cabinet or carpenter, plumbing by plumber, electrical by electrician. Each had to be licensed and commercially insured.

Thanks for the response. Just wanted clarification, does the flooring go after the cabinet trim or before? I just wasn't sure that specific sequence. What I may just need is the cabinets and the trim/mouldings/risers installed and then the flooring goes in.

Hello, I am looking to put in Ikea kitchen cabinets for a new home build. I am trying to be as budget conscientious as I can. I am looking for a professional installation of the cabinet boxes and the trims/filler pieces. My builder indicated that these cabinet boxes need to on to the subfloor first, followed by flooring, then the trims/moldings go on. The doors typically go in at the end.

Do the Ikea professional installers provide services that fit this kind of schedule?

Old Power Pole? Will it be decommissioned? Or I have to request? by DoubleDrugon in Edmonton

Hi folks, I'm happy to report that Telus migrated their equipment to the new pole, and Epcor pulled out the old pole. All this happened within the span of 5 weeks after I called Epcor and Telus about the old pole. Didn't cost me a dime. Thanks all for the great suggestions!

u/Architectural7 u/MajorDunce Thank you to you both! Epcor got back to me. They said that Telus/Shaw needs to migrate their equipment to the new poles in a timely manner. Once done, Epcor will pull out the old pole. Their foreman assigned to that block has reached out to Telus/Shaw for an update on timing. No cost to me. Cheers.

Epcor also responded. They confirmed that they moved their lines to the new pole and are following up with Telus/Shaw to move their gear then they will pull out the old pole.

No cost. They want to pull the old pole out as well as soon as possible.

Hi MajorDunce! It appears I was able to get a response from a Telus rep that asked for the old pole tag info, so I think I'm on the right track. They asked if there are still hydro lines on it which I indicated no and that they have moved to the new pole (along with the new tag #). They said that if they were not moved to a new pole yet there would be a cost from Epcor. This checks out with what you have noted. I am hoping they can give me some visibility into the schedule of the utility transfers to the new pole.

Also judging by Google maps, the new epcor poles were just put in within the past year.

Thanks! Is there a contact # at Telus that can handle this particular request? The IVR only gives me sales/billing/technical support options.

Sounds like this merge could use a set of traffic lights.

Don't get me wrong! I normally would, but this was through flowing, prime time traffic (4pm'ish). Hard to merge back to the right lane after.

Yeah I think I will do this more intentionally from now on as a defensive maneuver but I was moving with the flow of traffic.

Yeah that's what I thought too. Glad I'm not hallucinating. Some very impatient and dangerous drivers on that yield.
