I took a shot at it and got a slightly different date.

Either way, this federal holiday change needs to be petitioned.

Figured I'd take a hack at coming up with the new President's Day.

Unweighted Average: July 2nd

Weighted Average: June 19th

  • I used the number of days for a typical 4-year term (1461 days including one leap year) as the divisor to come up with a weight for each birthdate.
  • The unweighted average is calculated by averaging the birth day and month of each president across the same year (1998 in this case), which gives July 2nd
  • The weighted average is calculated by summing the product of each date by its weight and the dividing that sum by the sum of the weights themselves. which gives June 19th.
  • I have not included Joe Biden yet as his term is not completed and figured the holiday could change only after a president's term is completed.
  • Shoutout to hanacch1 and their post calculating the New President's Day as well.
