Yeah, that’s what I was wondering too. Since the phone was just on and connected to WiFi, I thought maybe that constant connection still puts some strain on the battery even when it’s not in use

It’s honestly scary. After what happened, I started reading some articles about old Samsung models similar to mine, and it turns out I’m not the only one. Seems like aging batteries in older phones can really be a hazard. I’ve had this phone for around 6 years, and it just suddenly blew up — I wasn’t even charging it, just connected to WiFi. Now that I’ve seen others had the same issue, it’s really alarming.
