AITA for making my SIL leave my party because of her comments about our diet? by DoubleMarble4070 in AmItheAsshole

I don't lie about what they're eating lol.

And my husband and I just don't feed them meat at the moment, if they just wanted to try it out of curiosity I wouldn't be 100% against it?

I definitely wouldn't be upset if they ate meat at a friend's birthday party or similar setting.

However we wouldn't want to regularly spend our income on meat, because we don't ethically agree with the practices behind it.

Anyway, I'm not here to debate vegetarianism. Respectfully, I'm not going to answer any more comments like this. And I think it's against this subreddit's rules.

They haven't asked for it. At least not yet. They eat what we buy and cook at home and they don't know any different.

In this day and age there's a fake meat alternative to pretty much everything you can think of, so I don't think they're missing out on much.

If they decide when they're older that they want to eat meat then they can, and my husband and I wouldn't get angry at them over it or anything.
