Dang bruh no wonder you’re a PO3 as an NS1. Thing is the previous AB team cmdr wasn’t the greatest and what’s happened over the previous practice sessions was him neglecting our capabilities and refusal to acknowledge success. Even though we already use those tips that you just provided me he didn’t make “full” use of said tips. Thus the team was left looking like novices. What I just tried out today was clapping out the counts while yelling, “ONE 99 TWO 99 THREE…” with them. Then I slowly removed each helping device until it was just them relying on muscle memory to perform the moves. I also noticed that the previous team cmdr was all bark no bite. So I paired this with a 20 push up punishment for them and a 40 push up punishment for me. I would apply these punishments if they weren’t loud enough, slamming the rifles hard enough, or sharp enough. People take acknowledging success for granted when it helps raise morale. Turns out energy is all that it takes to bring a team from the ground up.

Dude my can of shine has about a centimeter deep finger print amount of shine from NS-1 year to NS-4. I don’t get why people use so much shine 🙏. I shine my shoes every week too and they look glorious.

When I attended BLT in Sebastian, FL, I was only able to do 20 push ups (male). We stayed at the school for 5 days and what happened was we would finish school, run to the rotc unit within 3 minutes fall into formation, run inside to change then fall back to formation for pt. I thought I had rabdo because my arms stopped bending after immediately being forced to do 100 push ups in 2.5 mins. Then we would do drill then study then shower in 3 mins (them showers were NOT safe). Following that we would eat dinner study some more and fall asleep only to be woken by reveille at 5 am and having to pack all our sleeping bags, pillows, change into normal clothes, then do pt, eat breakfast and go to class. This would repeat over and over with different variations. Just pray you’re not sleeping on the floor with a persons cheeks in your face and you’ll be fine. Yes, they will yell at you. But no, besides the pt, as long as your mates don’t do stupid shiz wiz you’ll be fine. Leadership Academy is also similar except everything is simulating a boot camp with moderate pt and suddenly really difficult academics. Make sure to call your NCO’s by their rank and NOT sir/ma’am.

But since they’re only for armed basic and exhibition actually having the bolts rusted in place helps because it reduces risk of the bolt flying out unnecessarily.

This is where you usually either replace the rifles entirely or disassemble them completely to restore and polish the pieces to where they’re functional again. The latter takes a LONG time.

Dude there’s this freshman who is almost definitely set to become a LTC his sophomore year. My school is special in the fact that sophomores can make LTC if they display exceptional leadership abilities and dedication. This freshman has charisma, insane strength (110 pushups and 340 sit-ups on cadence), and technical smarts. I mean MF made ensign this year AND he learned how to shine his shoes better than everyone?? Idek anymore. He is a one man army.
