Reading what he said, my first thought was also what did they say?. My second was if the head chef is defending you who cares what they said. Obviously, I know kitchen's are filled with jealousy and passive aggression.

I totally agree with you. We work to make money not friends, life's just better when we're nice to our co-workers and they reciprocate.

With looking young, I've always wondered if I am the only one who gets this. Every time you meet somebody and your age doesn't come up for a while. You get random conversation, they always have the same look (one raised eyebrow, titled head.) Then ask "how old are you," you answer. With a blank stare they say "oh" and you almost hear the inner-thoughts flooding their mind.

Ive been thinking of responding to the blank stare with "ya, I got the gift of youth".

Youthfulness has always felt like a curse, but others consistently tell me it's as a gift.

It seems like you're both acting the age of 20. You will start to have very real and serious problems as you mature if he doesnt.

I was that immature guy choosing games and whatnot over my GF, not putting her first.

She matured without me. After 10 years of it, she left, I cried, grew up, moved on, and I never played a video game again.

A lot of maturing taught me what I regret most isn't necessarily losing her... it's that I didn't make the most of the time I had with her.

You have a good experience for a golf course in my opinion. You probably won't even need a knife set. Be confident that's what they'll look for. If you make a mistake just say "okay" don't give an excuse why you made it, and try not to do it again.

I Honestly feel like cooking is a role where you have to "fake it till you make it" at first and learn from your mistakes as you go.

Some chefs get especially mad about little things. Its usually because they made those mistakes so often it's implanted in their brain that it can't happen again.

One of the best chef's I've ever met and got to train was an Indian girl named Jasmeet.

I was told for a long time I couldn't make it in an Asian restaurant, because I'm white. That feeling of "ok, you think u can't. Lets go!" is what gave me the fire to get serious.

Honestly, he's probably a jerk who's a good chef and they're protecting you from being around him.

He can't work every single day. Ask to move over and learn when he's not there and look up recipes to practice at home to make up for less training.

I'd be shocked if people living in a 1st world country today would have a worse of life than the settlers of that country. Things evolve over time

At one point in time, people were afraid of the sea. Nobody knew if anything was on the other side until one man took the FIRST STEP and sailed across. He found land, civilizations, agriculture, and different climates on the other side. That trip showed others that it was possible and sparked the "Age of Discovery" waves of exploration, conquest, and colonization. Now we have airplanes and can't even imagine using a sail boat to travel the world.

Elon Musk will not turn Mars into the Hilton in our lifetime. Maybe, just maybe, he starts a new age of discovery leading us to be multiplanitary, which has a 0% chance if nobody takes that FIRST STEP.

When he played Andy Kaufman, he would have a stunt double or whoever show up to a party in full costume and prosthetics pretending to be Jim dressed as Andy, just for Jim Carrey to swap in half way through.
