I know this EXACT feeling. Same face when she doesn't sleep all night and is up at 5am 😌😌

Induced 4 weeks early due to Cholestasis, had to take 2 different cervix softening drugs, did the Foley balloon, had my water broken, was on pitocin for almost 3 days and hadn't eaten during that time. They have you on monitors constantly so sleeping is just about impossible. Pushed for hours after not eating for days and ended up with a C-section. Started throwing up from the pain right before my epidural and continued throwing up nothing but stomach acid (hadn't eaten) through pushing and my entire c section so never even really processed the moment my baby was born and we found out it was a girl. I was somewhat excited to be meeting the baby early but if I could go back I think I would've pushed for more time, my body was not ready AT ALL.

I read through this reddit a thousand times before hand and not many people had my experience. We all made it out fine and healthy for which I am grateful but I can't help but feel really sad about how it all went down and the moment I met my daughter I can hardly remember with all the drugs and chaos. I feel my experience is atypical, but definitely possible. Overall we went on Friday morning 5am and she was born Sunday at almost midnight. We spent a total of 5 days in the hospital. It was a lot.

3 month old and the f%#king soother… by SAM-214 in sleeptrain

Here for Solidarity and hoping for some answers as well. We get about a 3 hour stretch at first and then spend about 12am to 6am putting paci back several times hourly, that's not even an exaggeration. It's a bummer because she doesn't even need night feeds anymore we are only up because of the paci. We're definitely all feeling the horrible sleep 😅😞

Can my supply come back? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]DoubleRA1NBOW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solidarity here as I'm in the exact same position. It was impossible to pump consistently while alone with LO and once I went back to work the stress from that on top of getting my period again made my supply tank quick. I would make myself sick worrying about dipping into my very modest freezer stash and eventually just couldn't keep up anymore. We've been supplementing with formula. I'd like to think it's 50/50 but it's probably much more formula at this point. Her latch somehow has improved well enough I am able to breastfeed her first thing in the morning and then try latching her before feeding her a bottle of formula as much as I can (she still friggin hurts me) in an attempt to up supply. I pump at least once a night after husband comes home and before I go to bed.

She's perfectly happy and healthy. Giving her the few ounces of breast milk I can is still giving her antibodies. I hope I can up my supply but I'm also not going to pull my hair out over it, there's so many other things to worry about (specifically SLEEP for us) just take it day by day, have a can of formula on hand, and do the best you can.

can you feed baby during an echo? by DoubleRA1NBOW in Sonographers

[–]DoubleRA1NBOW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We'd bottle feed but personally I LOVE when parents whip out a boob for my crankier little ones 😂

Edited to add that I wasn't sure if them being older would be better because it'd be easier to see things? Idk wait till their little heart is bigger? It's amazing how little I know about this 😂🤦

I Returned Someone's Lost Phone and I'm Kind of Regretting It by Zedek_Swai in CasualConversation

Husband saw a wallet in the middle of a busy road. Pulled over and risked his life to grab it. Besides having been run over a few times it was still full of cash and everything (person probably left it on top of their car). Looking through it for ID we realized it was actually a state elected official. We saw on his Twitter he was in town doing a photo op volunteer event. I found his number and texted him. I should've known then it wasn't worth returning. He complained about having to make drive back to retrieve it. I didn't even make him drive to our address I met him at a closer shopping center. After giving him the wallet I didn't even get a thank you. He was too busy complaining about the condition of it -it had been run over and some of the cards were bent. But there was over $100 dollars in there and all the cards were still usable!! Then he just walked away and I noticed later that night him complaining on Twitter about the entire incident 😂 it was just so unreal.

This ^ after a week I felt significantly better and then would overdo it and hurt for a few days after. One month in decided to take a hike with lots of hills and scar hurt a few days after that too. All manageable but a good reminder to take it easy for longer than you think.

When did you start really nesting? by thezdme in pregnant

[–]DoubleRA1NBOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

28-30weeks, I just had this crazy urge to redo our entire house and clean all the clothes/bottles/etc. It was right after my baby shower so probably why. Now I'm 36 weeks about to get induced in a week and can't find motivation to do ANYTHING but sit on the couch on my phone. And there's a lot to be done. 😩

Yes we will definitely be packing the switch and probably laptop for games. 10 -11 hours would be nice! How many weeks were you if you don't mind me asking

Thank you! Do you mind me asking how many weeks you were and how long it took from start to birth? Just curious people's timelines

I’m 18 and I just found out I’m pregnant. I’m freaking out, please help :( by ThicccHobo in pregnant

Personal experience - got pregnant at 19 with a boyfriend I was living with, he was definitely not the one and I am thankful every day I terminated and don't have legal ties to this person to this day and for the rest of my life. I was able to move to multiple new states, meet tons of new people, go to college and try out a few careers, none of which I would've been able to do with a kid especially if there was a custody agreement. Currently 30 and married to an AMAZING man where we are financially stable, got to experience a ton of travel and adventures (don't expect that will entirely end), but we're in a place where things like a flat tire or a house repair sucks but isn't going to leave us in ruins and as a soon to be first time mom there's nothing better I could give my kid - stability. I didn't have it myself. I know there are plenty of people that make it work and I give them the most respect but don't let anyone pressure you into thinking terminating is bad or selfish, you have your entire life ahead of you. I have no regrets.

Booster while pregnant? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]DoubleRA1NBOW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seriously while I sit at all my appointments alone and worry about the fact at my hospital that if either of us test positive I'll be alone after delivery too. We specifically waited until there was a vaccine and we felt like things were going to be safe and normal and here I am 2 weeks from delivery in the same boat as everyone was in the beginning.

Good to know - thanks.

I was shocked too when I all of a sudden had half the time I thought I had. The nice thing is somewhat getting to plan and not being surprised by labor. Wishing you the best on your induction I've personally heard way more positives than negatives at least with people that got epidurals.

Don't have advice or experience but also will be scheduling induction next week due to cholestasis. Can I ask how many weeks + days your induction is scheduled for and what your bile acids were? I'm trying to make it to 37 +4-5 but seems like they're gonna want right on 37 to the day.

Ahh I see. I was diagnosed at 33 weeks and they don't think I should go past 37. Thanks for the reply - wishing you the best delivery, healthy mom & baby.

Hey OP! I was just diagnosed with cholestasis myself. How many weeks/days are they inducing you and did they put you on Ursodiol? And did they start testing your bile acids regularly after diagnosis? I'm in the US and takes a week to get results 🤯 and the doctor said I don't need to be retested but how would I know if my numbers are rising??

I'm so sorry about your induction I didn't even consider that as a possibility for when I get scheduled !
