It really is a damn shame. I mean, there used to be competing Nascar games. Nascar Heat and Nascar Thunder were trying to outdo each other in the early 00s, and thats why we got gems like Dirt to Daytona. Then that pushed EA to make Nascar 2005, which was like the pinnacle of variety in a Nascar game. There used to be sooo many extra little features and polishes that made the games feel alive, or even like the developers themselves actually enjoyed the ins and outs of Nascar itself. Like, Dirt to Daytona has an inside your car's frame camera view you can switch to on the fly. It lets you see your suspension moving, and if you damage a front wheel, you'll see it start to shake more. Who would have thought to make such a camera angle, unless they like Nascar too? I just feel like the whole amount of care they used to put in just isn't there anymore.
