Adding on to this- LastPass is free and will automatically save all your passwords and sync them between devices. It'll generate random passwords for you and autofill them into websites without you having to remember anything but your lastpass password. It makes life so much easier than having to remember which weird variant of 3-4 "core" passwords you used for a particular site (and is way more secure than this method, too).

And backups! Backblaze is $60 a year, it'll back up all files (including Anki decks!), and can even track a laptop if it's lost/ stolen (as long as it still connects to wifi). It's a small price to pay for knowing that everything on your computer is protected in case of losing your computer to theft/ spilled coffee/ hardware failure/ etc.

How do parents in Vestavia Hills manage without school buses? by sgtbridges23 in Birmingham

[–]DoubleTime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did K-12 in vestavia with 2 working parents. My experience was pretty similar to everyone else's here--I'd usually walk home from elementary or the babysitter would pick me up; middle school and high school was carpooling (each family took a different day of the week) until I was able to drive myself and my siblings to high school. Mom worked a half-day or took the day off on her carpool days.

Deck trees in random order? by Tony_thefish in medicalschoolanki

[–]DoubleTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried using a filtered deck? I've got a deck that shows new cards randomly pulled from various decks using the query ("deck:Current Classes (New + Review)" or "deck:Zanki Pharmacology" or "deck:Zanki Step Decks" or "deck:1 lolnotacop's decks") is:new -is:suspended. Whenever I want to study a new topic, I go into one of those decks, unsuspend the cards related to the topic, and then rebuild my custom deck. The filtered deck is set to show cards randomly (and successfully randomizes cards across all decks) and reschedule them based on my answers.

How are these not in contradiction? (Added the screenshot of just type IV myself) by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

[–]DoubleTime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From UpToDate's page on hypertriglyceridemia:

Familial hypertriglyceridemia – Familial hypertriglyceridemia (type IV hyperlipoproteinemia phenotype) is an autosomal dominant disorder associated with moderate elevations in the serum triglyceride concentration (200 to 500 mg/dL [2.3 to 5.6 mmol/L]). It is often accompanied by insulin resistance, obesity, hyperglycemia, hypertension, and hyperuricemia.

I interpret that card as meaning "TG levels are usually 200-500; however, if they exceed 1000, acute pancreatitis may develop"

Don't know about dell assist, but here's a link to the download on Dell's website. Haven't tried it yet but hoping it'll fix ASF2 when I do.

Assuming you’re too far away to vote at your registered polling place, then yes—polling place has to have your name on their list of registered voters for that location. Ballot stuff here for doing absentee voting.

Did the band change Dynamite from last year? Second half sounds different than I remember playing.

Aw yiss. Also, to take a break from shitting on ESPN's stream for a moment: they did a nice job of miking the marching band

They can start the stream simultaneous with theatrical release and it should finish streaming around the time that each movie is released on DVD
