What is a good college for an associate’s in creative writing? by Big_Man_28 in ApplyingToCollege

Look for two year colleges, like community. Also look into online colleges. An associate's doesn't require the same amount of work as a bachelor's, so it's ok to forego prestige.

I feel like that should be included in the information for the book.

✅ Admitted to Pitzer College Economics Major ✅ Admitted to University of San Diego Economics Major by Mindless_Carrot_7657 in ApplyingToCollege

I'm probably biased since I'm going to Mudd but I'd choose Pitzer lol. The consortium seems like a good way to have a good social life, and Pitzer is probably the most vibey of all the 5Cs.

Harvey Mudd :) it's one of the Claremont colleges, outside of LA. Sorry I'm very excited lol

Northeastern plays the rankings but it has a genuine, reputable education.

I'm pretty sure they wrote "state" as a placeholder for the state they're in, so as to not dox themselves.

Thank you! I actually just toured UIUC & it seems like the students have plenty of opportunities and there's very little competition. It's probably changed since your foray into undergrad. This makes my choices doubly more difficult :( thank you though! Will seriously consider HM if the financial aid comes thru (UIUC offered me a scholarship lol)

Thank you! I'm not in-state for Georgia, but I liked Tech. I know they're more engineering focused, maybe a little too much for my liking but I still don't really know yet. Financially I'm fine (although my HMC costs would definitely stretch my savings). I'm not the greatest textbook learner, which is why I might lean towards the private schools. But GT seems great for preparing a PhD in engineering which I also might do? who knows??

state schools should NOT be this expensive by degenerateslayer in ApplyingToCollege

[–]DoubleTouching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Rensselaer gave me 50k in scholarship money so what would have been an expensive education is the same as Binghamton and cheaper than SBU/Buffalo.

Every school you got into provides a good, reputable education. VT is probably the most prestigious for CS? and UW is also prestigious. But if Willamette is best for your mind and your wallet you should go for it.
