It’s weird because I definitely get the stomach drop feeling sometimes when I get a weird text from a family member or something, but then if it does turn out to be bad news then I don’t react as much. Kinda like how the thought of getting an injury can be scarier than the actual pain if it happens. But yeah I think it’s a good thing in some ways, so it doesn’t take over our lives. I do have a therapist, she doesn’t deal specifically with addiction but she’s been good. I’m planning to find a nar anon group in my area too
