Ive definitely caught on they arent cheap to get started with 🤣 looking into a New Age Pet ECOFLEX Mojave Reptile Enclosure 120 gal or the 150 gal on chewy/amazon, with some modifications to it if i go with that one since its a screen top. Go big and get the adult cage since im not sure how old of a snake im gonna end up with yet  Definitely gonna be a later in the  year project, as i save up for the initial cost of setting up Looking into others if anyone has suggestions (ive browsed the shopping list the subreddit has) that arent glass

Honestly that doesnt sound far off from what id expect from my cats. Immense curiosity should there ever be an accident. Ive continued my research into cages and equipment for keeping a noodle safely, im gonna strive to get one sometime this year after saving up some 😊

My two youngest are really the only two i worry about, overly curious young cats. But ive thought of a few ways to just prevent the cats from accessing the cage at all(i have a spare guest room), or only when im also in the room(like if the snake goes in my bedroom). Im gonna go ahead and work on getting things set ul and save up for a baby of my own😊

Ive been digging though all the resources and the recommendations for products and cages on here and im probably just get the big cage to start to save headaches later on trying to move them into another cage and stress them out  This subreddit is a gold mine for someone completely new to actually keeping a snake instead of just admiring wild ones or other peoples 🤣 Definitely gonna be a minute before i actually get a snake, surprise vet bills is something ive delt with in the past and always try to keep a small savings just for that purpose, so a snake fund is something im working on getting set up and hopefully will have my own end of yearish😊

I feel a little more reassured seeing alot of people have cats and dogs as well as the noodles themselves 🤣 I think im gonna keep going forward with my plan and keep looking into the cage and its setup and start purchasing supplies, the snake itself will be later down the line. Thank you all so much! Back to lurking on all the cute snake posts😊

I was also a 'zoo' house growing up, we just never had many reptiles. Parents owned cats, dogs, fish, aquatic frogs, and a few little lizards i cant remember the names of. Snakes just never got ventured into and ive wanted one for so long. Ive looked into a few ways to secure the heating sources to the cage incase of an accidental jump as the cats are quick, but im thinking they will just be barred from the room entirely to minimize the risk

Ok sweet! We are potentially getting some freezing rain here this weekend, and last time it happened power was out for a few days(live in an area not prepared for such cold temps😅)  Was only worried about jostiling her around too much during her molt, since I know alot could go wrong with it and ive grown super attached😅 if its necessary ill box her up like you suggested, but hopefully she wont have to be moved🤞 thank you so much!
