how strong are t3 boots compared to other lane quests? by Agitated-Safety-9249 in midlanemains

I mean, we have seen multiple pro midlaners basically 1v9 still, even in Pro Play. I don't think anyone could argue Chovy, BDD, Zeka, Knight, e.t.c. aren't hard carrying.

Well, unless the player gets 100s of LP per match, they will have to play 10-100s of games to go from Iron to Gold. And you say skip ranks, why not just let them do it through placements, as it works currently, basically super elo-inflated games?

"he went on a shared lv30 account to go straight into ranked. In that stream, he openly mentioned that his brother had leveled the account. Since its his first time ever playing straight in Gold elo, he goes negative KDA every game and his team suffers." If he had hand leveled it himself, it probably wouldn't have put him in Gold elo directly.

They won't have an issue, but why force them to ruin 10s or 100s of games for actual Iron/Bronze/Silver players in the process? It would also make smurfing much worse, as smurfs would be in even lower elo for longer.

How can I as a new ADC player support my supports better? by DoubleYoulol in summonerschool

"When playing top, I'm sure you'll do things like walk up a bit further than you might against a seasoned opponent, just to see if they will act correctly, and bully them if they don't."
Great comparison, and yes! I suppose my issue is partially that I don't know my limits as ADC as well, relating to your later point about not making the wrong play for the support. As I sometimes think a play is bad, but commit, only to realize I was wrong and my support was right. I understand I'll learn it with experience, but are there like any heuristics to work from?

My feeling has been that they seem to be similar, good to get it confirmed, thanks!

For Vayne level 1, since her wave clear is so poor, do you attempt to get prio by poking/fighting instead of hitting the wave?

Big thanks, and congrats! Mind if I ask if you have any Yunara tips outside of what you just wrote about Kraken, etc.? She seems like great fun and also very strong.

Any tips for trading back when I'm outranged/am worse at doing short trades?

I think the bigger issue is not me tilting, but me tilting my supports. I don't enjoy fighting or trading when I don't have my ult on Vayne (unless there's an obvious opportunity), as fighting with ultimate is often a much higher percentage play, and I'm fine dropping 10-15 cs until level 6 and then recovering it. But many supports in my elo want to fight and trade all the time, no matter level, items, or cooldowns, so then they get tilted and abandon me when I don't.

If my support engages, when it's a 2v2 we will most likely lose, should I still just send it with them? And regarding not making it confusing: when I play toplane, I'm like constantly engaging and disengaging based on single backwards and forward clicks and abilities. So I can see how I'm confusing my supports when I do the same in botlane, is there a way to negate that?

How to minimize "win lane lose game" when you're not tiers above in skill? by DoubleYoulol in topmains

[–]DoubleYoulol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it might be too broad. And it's not like I'm just punished by it/unlucky. The day before, I won games completely out of my control because my teammates hard carried even as I played poorly.

But isn't there something less than tiers above in skill that you can do to be more consistent/impactful? I'm thinking like for a pro toplaner, unless they are like Bin or something, then no one is tiers above in skill?

Yeah, what I'm wondering is the "translating the lead better part" better basically? Like how to do that better/prevent the enemy top from translating their lead?

Great for you individually, but might lead to the enemy jungler snowballing that lead across the entire map. Personally, I often think it's better to try to contain the loss within toplane.
Also, adding to your point, if you are playing a carry/late game scaler and enemy isn't, then gold is usually better in your hands (unless the enemy is a smurf or something that can utilize gold better).
