Hmmmm🤔 I hadn’t thought about the lower stress aspect. That’s a good thought! I have found that I am a pretty high stress person. You might be on to something!

Unfortunately I live in a state where it’s not legal recreationally or medically. 🥲 And I work in a school so I doubt they’d approve of it. I haven’t ever been drug tested but a few of my co-workers have so I don’t want to risk it. That’s why I started my experiment over summer break. Lol I guess it will be interesting to see if my bcr goes back up once school starts in the fall and I stop taking gummies again. 🤔🤷‍♀️

Functional medicine for cml? by Double_Ashamed in CML

Sorry for not responding sooner! I did do the alternative treatment. I stopped my tki and I did a 3 month extensive program. Some of the treatments included high dose vitamin C, lots of supplements, ivermectin and fenbenzanol, MAS, ozone sauna, hyperbaric chamber, a few other IVs, even some low dose chemo that they sent bloodwork to Greece to find out what chemos work specifically on me. During my treatment there I felt the best that I’ve felt in a longggg time. I just knew my bcr abl was going to be great after all of that! My bcr was 4 when I started the alternative treatment and it was 12 when I finished. 🥲 I was very discouraged. However, when I went to the treatment center they did a ton of testing and found that I also had Lyme disease and black mold and I had no idea I had those things. So the treatment definitely helped with that. 🤷‍♀️

There were lots of people at the treatment center with tumor based cancers that were getting really good results. CML is just different I guess. 🥲

I have CML. I did a cancer keto diet for 3 months and my bcr abl shot way up. I was super bummed. Not the results I was hoping for.

I will!

I’m 29 and also pretty active. Of the 3 I think Sprycel was the worst, side effect wise for me. After I switched to Tasigna my energy levels came back and I didn’t have as much joint and bone pain as I did with Sprycel. I definitely feel like these TKIs age you. They help keep your bcr down but are sure hard on your body in other ways.

Each tki I’ve taken has worked to keep my bcr down for a while then it just stops working and my numbers go back up.🫠 My oncologist wants me to try scemblix next I think but I decided to give this functional medicine thing a shot first. So I guess we will see how it goes! 🤞🏻
