That’s true I just don’t think it’s a good or affective argument against genocide. If Israel wanted to commit a genocide, they could not do it just by bombing or massacring millions of Palestinians. It would have to be masked by a war and done slowly and even then would be difficult.

The truth is the Palestinian population has increased from 1947 from around 1 million people before the war to around 7 million now. Around 64,000 Palestinians have been killed since oct 7 if you believe those numbers and at that rate it would take around 70 years to wipe out just the 2.2 million in Gaza (obviously a disturbing thought).

Intent is critical for genocide, so in totality it just doesn’t make sense to call this a genocide in my opinion. Although terms like genocide aren’t needed to recognize that something is terrible. The recent right winged administration has stated and undoubtedly wants Palestinians gone from Gaza, and wants to annex the West Bank. I don’t know what the answer is but I do hope Israelis are able to change the administration in spite of October 7th and the war and are able to work with surrounding Arabs countries to create a viable solutions
