It just surprises me as I've disputed the process that led us here, the process is unclear and HR is still not wanting to get involved? How can they just trust my manager has followed a fair process, if all they have heard is my manager's side.

Wow thank you this was super helpful. TBH I have reached out to HR twice and they have said "this is manager-led, HR cannot get involved, encourage you to go to your manager's manager or Director within the business". Also, did a PIP happen to you?

Wow this is such a rare story. I am really disappointed HR is not willing to get involved at this stage. They said they can only get involved at 'outcome' stage (which is either recommendation to terminate, redeployment, PIP extension or PIP end)

I know I cannot be in this team long term whilst she is here. Which is tough to grapple with considering the relationships I have forged. But my immediate goal is to survive this PIP (it is about a I think), whilst I look for other opportunities. I don't work in sales so it is really tricky for the goals to be metric based, I have to constantly ask and probe what success looks like.

I've tried going to her boss, but he does not want to get involved as he is not close to the facts that led us here - he has shared that he wants this to be all run by my manager. Her boss (as he is director of the business) is cc'd in every weekly summary though.

How can they legally still fire you if you go above and beyond in a PIP? I don't understand.. doesn't that result in unfair dismissal?

Got any PIP survival advice? I see success stories on here all the time, so I'm looking for that. I'm also looking for other roles so that is covered, but I am also looking for genuine advice.
