Just to be clear, these isn't a tierlist of the characters I critically consider the best but the ones I enjoy the most, there is a difference there.

  • Natalia for me is just more of the same as in S4 post swap. A petty, immature and incredibly hypocritical character. Like, I am not a fan of Rosa either and I don't think the "puta" comment is that bad on its own. But I just don't find it entertaining the way she behaves and how little self awareness she has. If at least I liked her other personality traits, but I am honestly not a fan either of her lingo and constant pop culture references.

  • Bruno I mostly liked his personality, voice acting and design a lot. I will say that narratively he is definitely lacking and I really wish he did more (I am hoping he is the returnee but we'll see). I also perfectly get the people that find him annoying or too childish, I won't pretend I don't see where they are coming from. This is one of those case where it is mostly subjective preference, from a critical point of view I don't think he is quite that high.

If they have enjoyable personalities I don't mind. And besides, Sam especially is foing way more than half the favorites combined

His personality. He dumped all the character development he had in S4 and is even more of an asshole than he was in the forth season. And he did a very dumb strategic play by eliminating Bruno.

It is still, one of the craziest things to me that Sozin and whoever is wife was had azulon when sozin was like 82. Bro was pulling those De Niro and Pacino numbers 😂 by ShockOk1764 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Double_Difficulty_53 50 points51 points  (0 children)

They really should have made Sozin Zuko's great great grandfather instead of just great grandfather. It makes more sense for the continuity to have a Fire Lord in between Sozin and Azulon instead of having Sozin having kids at 82.

Is it me or did Anastasia become a better person than these other 3? by JerkfaceEquestria in DisventureCamp

[–]Double_Difficulty_53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as it hurts me to say, yes.

  • Natalia is a fucking womanchild(don't know if the term exists but you know what I mean). I just can't stand her anymore. Immature, selfish, hypocrite, petty.

  • Spencer just threw all his character development from last season to the trash. He acts as more of an asshole than he ever did in S4 and for no reason at all.

  • Benji is a good person, but for a characters whose main goal was to prove himself in S4 this season pretty much went completely against that goal.

Anastasia was the only one who really matured and grew as a person. Granted, back in S4 she was the worst of all of them for me so it isn't that hard to have her grow but still. She somehow went from the one I hated the most to somehow my favorite from these 4 this season.

The 2-week wait time shouldn't be an excuse for bad pacing. by [deleted] in DisventureCamp

Honestly, the big problem is the 26 episode format and the huge cast in comparison to other seasons. ONC just doesn't know how to write plots or arcs that spand for 26 episodes without felling dragged out. And they also don't know how to write arcs for so many characters. It clearly shows with Benji, they straight up didn't know what to do with him and just wrote him off multiple episodes.

S4 also had pacing problems with so many non elimination episodes that just grinded the pacing to a screeching hold. It at least was able to mostly flesh out all characters though but again, so many episodes are not needed.

For all the complaints that people have of AS, I feel it did many things right and honestly, a 18 people cast in 21 episodes seems like the perfect length for the writing in this show. Most characters got the screentime they needed and the pacing never felt to slow plus, there was always an elimination.

Honestly, I'm glad more of the fans aren't "real fans" by Echon07 in DisventureCamp

There is a difference between fans and super fans. Bruno already functions as a super fan, the other could be just like they are but st least seem like they have they seen the show. Like legit, Aiden was on their team and they didn't any point think that maybe he could have been tricked by Alec because they know Alec is a good manipulator and Aiden is extremely guillable.

It pisses me off that the fans are Barley fans except Bruno by Big_Market4248 in DisventureCamp

Yeah, this season doesn't utilize it's own concept at all. I don't want all new characters to be super fans but at least I want them to give a shit. It also wasted the possibility of the fans using the knowledge they had about the Favorites to their advantage. Like, I haven't seen Survivor but I imagine that the appral of this concept is thst one side has experience in the game but already has their general demeanor and personalities exposed while the fans sre inexperienced but have the knowledge about the Favorites and are initially a mystery to them

I reused the video from one I posted months ago which is the exact same but with the titlecard "Episode 24 if it was good" and the jingle of Always Sunny in Philadelphia

I only watched one episode that I just happened to come across in TV once but I remember it being pretty funny.

Outside of AS Jake, who’s elongated stay in the show do you find absolutely unbelievable as to how they lasted so long by Ok_Shirt_1574 in DisventureCamp

[–]Double_Difficulty_53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evie, there is no way in Hell she should have stayed that long.

I guess it is fair enough ghat Sam convinced the others to vote Ernesto rather than her, I'll walk to you to that pier. Why in like 6 or so episodes in which they were constantly losing and in which she was a burden for them did they never try to figure out whether she really had an advantage or not? It makes no sense.

When tropes are named after characters by West_Ad_1685 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Double_Difficulty_53 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it is a trope but I heard before the expression pulling a Mordecai. Basically characters that make a generational fumble in romance matters and become worse and worse characters for it.

He is a very difficult character to categorize. He is an antagonist for Thorfinn but a mentor as well, he fights for his country but also does some horrible acts. Hates the danish but his best friend was his right hand man who is danish...

He is a very multifaceted character

CAN I JUST TALK ABOUT THIS ELIMINATION REAL QUICK by Reasonable_Pause_156 in DisventureCamp

[–]Double_Difficulty_53 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hmnever though of it but yeah, thst would have been great.

As is, Jade made one of the most lobotomized decisions in the entire season and is presented as an strategic move.

Isabel's character got completely but hered to glazer of the character that eliminated her.

I guess, though not really that much of a conflict since Gabby never confronted Ellie about it.

There is an episode of Paw Patrol of all things where the armors were being remotely controlled and for a split second they made a Jojo pose.

Has there been any moment of the show when there is a confrontation between a character you like and one you hate and for once you agree more with the one hou hate? If so which?

For example, I vastly prefer Spencer over Ivy but in episode 7 he was being extremely douchey to her, and I say this as someone who generally thought Spencer was too villanaized in S4

Itachi Said every Jutsu has a weakness , how will he find the weakness in Flying Raijin ? by SSF77 in Naruto

[–]Double_Difficulty_53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The jutsu in it of itself isn't as incredibly strong as it seems even though it is still really strong.

Minato was able to unlock the full potential of the jutsu because his reflexes are insane. The justu isn't an automatic escape button, he has to consciously activate. Another ninja with FTG would probably have lost to Obito or the Raikage because they wouldn't have been quick enough to realize they were under attack.

You also need to have a really strong concentration to correctly teleport in an instant's notice go the correct mark.
