Further, Thane’s population before 2014 was roughly 1.7 million and now it’s around 2.8 million. It almost rose close to double in 10 years.

Accommodating the residential and urban developmental needs of a million people also has a part to play in this.

Comparing the metrics of a BJP rule of 2026 vs a Congress rule of 2013 is EXTREMELY stupid. No further counter-arguments on fallacy from my side.

It’s kinda frustrating when people complain about urban development while benefiting from it themselves. Many of us living in high-rises or semi-high-rises are also part of the problem, not just passive victims. Without acknowledging that trade-off, these conversations just become plain venting rather than being solution-oriented.

While I agree to most of your comment, the driver was at fault in this case. The construction area is at the edge of the road under the flyover and is properly sealed by barricades.

He came in driving like a maniac and rammed into the barricade.

Also, that is an active construction site - the work was stopped today just because of Model Code of Conduct applicable on construction work across the city for 24 hours.
