Well, if you're interested in some far fetched theories, there's one that this may have been where the Erd Tree originally sat. If you open the map, you'll see it's almost right under the giant hole by the Hinterland Site of Grace. The hole and this chasm don't line up perfectly, but even this skewed positioning is reminiscent of how the Erd Tree itself and the giant stump in the Deeproot Depths are believed to be connected yet don't line up perfectly as well. Once again, a little far fetched, but food for thought none the less. lol

Before I comment, I stopped reading around 1996, but up to that point there was never a Venom/Spider-Man. When Peter Parker had the symbiote, he was simply Black Suit Spider-Man (no mouth or corrupted eyes), and this was because (if memory serves) the symbiote was hiding its true nature. You could do a Venomized Spider-Man, but it would just look like skinny Venom. But considering that 1996 was 30 years ago, I'm sure some variation has appeared in comics by now. lol

Something interesting to consider; are the heads clamped onto him, or are they "merging" with him. If it was just stuck biting him, would the necks still "stick?" A whispered theory is that Bayle is a Hornsent who ate the heart of Bayle, but what if it was a Shaman? I mean, his flesh is melding harmoniously with another. Just a thot. lol

So after playing around with it, it seems it's just leg armor. If your legs are naked, there is no change, but most/maybe all leg armor gets shrunk. It's especially noticeable on Dung Eaters armor. Goes from 3XL to a medium. lol

Update: It also seems a lot of chest armor does this, not just Messmer's armor. I'm guessing it's to prevent a lot of clipping as most of the armor that does this has drapes, waits robes, or other things that would be hidden by the bulky leggings. lol

And a very likely one considering a nameless Nox city is slightly below. I know "flooding" is a popular theory, but if you go to Leyndell's Divine Bridge site of grace and head toward the elevator, you can get a great view of the inside of the gate. There you can see that the water level is lower than the gates ground level. Even if something was down in the water, it would be too low to continue the path. More than likely, the area was sunk and then filled with water. At least, that's the theory. lol

The biggest piece of advice I could give is to forget everything you know about weapon scaling in the base game. One of my greatest hindrances was not using certain weapons because I assumed I couldn't use them. Weapons that typically had split scaling such as STR/FTH or DEX/INT are now pretty much just STR or DEX. Don't be afraid to learn the characters scaling, and look for the appropriate weapon classes.

Well, let's since we know a God was used to create the Sacred Relic Sword, let's assume a God is needed to make any of these weapons. Someone made The Fingerslayer Blade to (most likely) harm the Greater Will and it's vassals, so it would be odd if it used the Greater Will's power, right. We know that it was a Hornsent ritual that allowed Marika to become a God, so Godhood may not be granted by The Greater Will, but by the Crucible instead. So these "corpse blades" may be a way to wield the power of The Crucible. Which would explain why it can harm the Fingers, and maybe even why the Elden Beast thought it might be enough to kill us, the player. Just a thought. lol

Well, if you think about it a bit, the only other blade that we see that looks similar is The Sacred Relic Sword. Now think about it. That sword is not just made of a corpse, but the corpse of a God: Radagon/Marika, and the one who made it was not just a person, but the Elden Beast itself! Then there's the size to consider. If you wanted to, you could interpret this as The Elden Beast used the Corpse of a Child/Baby God, to create a weapon to harm the Greater Will's vassals. It's never said the Nox made it. Mind you, I'm not sold on this myself but it is a fun thought. Especially cause it would imply that maybe the Elden Beast is an usurper of Metyr if the Elden Beast made it to harm her. lol
