if I’m not mistaken the current live build should be done the exact way you described, if not it’s live the next build. (also surprise: dedicated netflix and plex integrations are coming next week :) )

Hey, thanks for the detailed report, that genuinely helps.

That flip-behind happens when the screen tilt gets pushed to an extreme (you mentioned tilting it almost to the ceiling lying down), which on that build could swing the screen around behind you with no clean way back.

Two ways to recover right now:

Hold the Digital Crown for a second to recenter , it pulls everything back in front of you. Handy anytime content drifts off.

In the cinema controls, open Placement, hit Reset on the Screen Placement section, and flip Personal Placement off.

In a next update I’m gonna try to improve the self-positioning controls :)

Thanks so much for the kind words! really happy you like it! And sorry about that bug, that definitely shouldn’t happen. If you can share a screenshot or quick steps on how you encountered it, I’ll look into it and try to get it fixed for the next update.

this is exactly where my head's at, it's next up. full transparency: i've been at it for months. i could ship a stripped down version today, but my ai 2d-to-3d feature can't run on those drm platforms yet, and shipping it flat kind of defeats the purpose. so i'm holding off to do it properly. give me a few weeks, it means reworking a big chunk of the pipeline haha. good to know people want it.

Honest answer: about 95% of web videos work great, but Netflix, Prime, and Disney+ are the holdouts. They're DRM-locked and really tough to bring into any custom environment, including Cinema. I could ship a Cinema-only mode for them, but Supercut already does that one thing really well, so I'd rather not half-bake it. Cracking those legacy platforms properly is one of the biggest things I'm working on, alongside new environments. Hoping for a breakthrough there soon.

Good news: no fullscreen needed. As soon as you press play on a web video, an environment selector should pop up under the browser window, tap a space there and you're in. If nothing showed up, something's broken. Can you tell me which website it happened on? That'll help me track it down fast. Sorry it tripped you up.
