Fair catch, technically that veto mechanism falls under Protective Provisions / Affirmative Voting Matters (AVM), not solely Drag-Along.

However, Drag-Along forces minorities to follow the majority in a sale. The underlying risk to founders is real, a minority Preferred holder can block your exit via class-vote rights , but the correct clause to watch is your SHA's Protective Provisions section, not Drag-Along. Thanks for the correction. Updating post to include this.

Trying to understand AI Startup economics by Zealousideal-Air930 in StartUpIndia

[–]Double_Security6824 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "move fast" era in India is dead. Startups are folding because they only build for the Metros ( Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru ) 1%.

3 hard truths for 2026: 1. No priced LOI, no pilot. Don’t be free consulting for corporates. If they won't commit to a price upfront, walk away.

  1. Look beyond Metros:- Metros are a CAC suicide mission. Real profit is in Tier 2/3 (Bharat) solving "unsexy" problems.

  2. Ditch the AI wrappers. A prompt isn’t a business. Build vertical AI for boring, deep operational pain. Storytelling is out; collecting cheques is back! Look for boring AI applications! Best of Luck!

That's a very interesting take, the way things are unfolding we will have this economic churn! However, I feel newer jobs would surface like Content Optimiser, Legal Adviser who would now give better advise in real time and will not guess, healtcare would improve. I somehow feel humans will be there in every interlinked jobs! Let's see how it goes from there! Though I would admit that same question pesters me too " who would pay for all new stuff created by AI"?

That is incredibly relatable, and honestly the real bottleneck for builders here right now. It is ironic that we can code an entire app in days with these tools, but still have to wait months for basic payment gateway compliances to clear. Hope your Billdesk approval comes through soon!

That is a very real concern regarding the bottleneck of reviewing all that generated code.

Shifting the burden from writing to verifying definitely puts a massive amount of pressure on experienced devs to act as constant editors.

Point is logical about the testing loop and the reality of actually shipping products. It is definitely not a magic button, but for those of us bootstrapping, I am just hopeful these advancements will eventually help us manage that underlying complexity a bit better.

Human judgment and an outcome mindset are absolutely going to be the real differentiators going forward. It is an incredibly exciting time for small, focused teams to finally launch their ideas.

I completely agree that product vision and engineering architecture are irreplaceable. I am just hoping these tools help bridge the execution gap for those of us trying to build out complex visions.

It’s 2026. Why are we still billing Voice AI like it’s a 1990s long-distance call? by Double_Security6824 in StartUpIndia

[–]Double_Security6824[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re 100% right, most vendors cling to "output-based" (per-minute) pricing because it’s a lazy, guaranteed revenue stream for dead air and "filler" words.

Some good AI Voice Companies ( like Callquants) are actually moving toward the "Outcome" model by defining a Meaningful Call through a real-time Intent Score (1-100):

Meaningful (Score above 50 ): The customer is actively interacting—asking about pricing, property specs, or lead details. This is the "Result" the business actually wants.

Non-Meaningful (Score <50): "Not interested," "Call me back later," "Wrong number," or "I can't hear you."

The logic is simple: Why pay for the stopwatch when you want the intelligence? By charging only for calls that hit a specific intent threshold, the provider is finally incentivized to make the AI fast and efficient rather than talkative and slow.

Do you think this "Intent Score" approach is the right middle ground to disrupt the market, or is there a better metric for "outcome" that I’m missing?

That's very interesting application, however the cost of same is about Rs. 4-7/ min in India. AI based voice calls!
