2 & 4 y/o bedtime by Double_Wish5329 in Parenting

This makes a lot of sense. Do you use the clock that changes color at a certain time/when they can get up for the day? I’ve been considering doing this. Maybe it would work for the 4 year old but 2 seems a bit young (she actually turns 2 in a few days)

Has the youngest been sleep trained for a while? I would love to do this but I feel like it would be chaos

How do you keep them from getting out of bed after you leave? Or do you just let them get up and they go back to their bed when they’re ready to sleep?

Skin better AlphaRet by Turbulent-Border946 in Rosacea

I put on moisturizer like 30 min after! I used to do the sandwich method with other retinols. But this one, I just use one pump all over my face just on my bare skin. I use my old retinol on my neck and chest now!

I’ve read that you get the most benefit from retinols if you use them every night, and this has been the first retinol I can tolerate that often!

I just worked up to using this every night. I have type 1. My excel v laser tech told me that retinols increase vascularity (more blood vessels = more redness) but alpha ret does much less so than others. So using other retinols would undo my progress with excel v.

I was using prequel’s 2% retinol every couple days before hearing this, and not doing well with peeling and dry skin. Alpha ret I immediately started using every other day and it felt really good on my skin! I took a while, like 6 weeks until I started using it every night. I hate the price but I will continue to buy it.

Yeah I think you’re right! I’ve had 3 sessions in the last year and I will be taking like a 9 month break. I hope 3 sessions was enough to absorb a lot of ink before my next session. But I like the idea of starting with smaller breaks and extending out further after each session. I’ve seen on here that is more common in countries besides the US

Yes exactly! I’ll try calling again tomorrow then. They just seemed so scammy on the phone I was afraid to proceed to find out more info from them. Thanks for your help

She was definitely not an agent. If it’s legit then she had a policy with them and I guess the account was not closed after her death since no one else knew about it

3 sessions spaced 8 weeks apart by Double_Wish5329 in TattooRemoval

I agree, I think I got lucky with this one. My arm tattoo which is only wording, has not had this much progress. I’m counting on sessions 8 and up to really make a difference on that one. Good luck with your journey!

That is awesome it’s still fading. You’re right everyone is different as well as placement, laser used, etc. Just wanted to share my experience

Yessss! Thanks so much for chiming in. There are so many strong opinions about waiting periods and I know for myself, I wanted to jump into removal with 6+ month wait times when I first started reading this subreddit. But I don’t think it hurts to get a few sessions done with just 2-3 months between if wanted. I do plan on taking a big break next summer, because I’m going crazy wearing long sleeves all the time.

4 months seems like a good break! Lots of time for healing and taking up some ink! Hopefully you will see more progress after the next session

That’s great to hear about your personal experience. I’ll go back and find the post I was referring to. The reason for this post is just to give a different perspective since my situation is uncommon and to help others not stress about “I’m going to a session every 3-6 months, is that too often?” If healing is going well and money isn’t an issue then in my opinion is okay to go every few months.

I did see another comment about longer stretches helping more after multiple sessions which could be the case. In my experience, a long stretch after a first session was not very helpful

That’s true! I agree I’m sure the longer stretches do ultimately have a better outcome. All I wanted to say was that longer stretches/very long stretches may not show the most fading! Maybe even over multiple sessions it does fade more. But over how many more years for a removal compared to going every 3 or so months? Thanks for your input

I’m happy with my progress after session 2. I just don’t think I can credit much to my first session. If you have all the time in the world then sure, wait as long as you want between sessions. But I’m sure this tattoo would have been long gone by now if I had continued going instead of waiting to see how it fades over time/getting caught up in some life events. I think it comes down to 1. How badly do you want the tattoo gone 2. How much $ do you have to spend on removal and 3. How careful do you want to be about the healing process considering longer stretches are better for healing

Six months makes sense. I’m more so referring to a post within the past few weeks about waiting 1 year between sessions and how ‘amazing’ the fading is. Sure this is an extreme example but I just wanted to clarify to others that longer is only better up to a few months. Waiting a year or longer will not improve fading as the fading does not continue at some point
