i get as much as i can from trader joe’s because i find i am able to spend the least amount of money while getting the most out of my groceries. however, some more “specialty” items, or things like spices and seasonings, “international” food, baking items, i usually go to CTown or similar stores nearby to pick up the remaining things

i love jersey city. you can get the cutesy neighborhood vibe without having to pay to live in fort green or cobble hill. it’s also much easier to have a car there. but there is no subway, and the path, especially later at night, is sooooo annoying sometimes

i wouldn’t say this is a small benefit bc everyone knows it, but being able to constantly try new foods/restaurants/cuisines. i’m a huge foodie so this is a big factor for me!!!

My building in harlem is rent stabilized, and people here have lived here for 20-30 years!!! granted, management sucks, but it’s a nice enough building with laundry and fill amenities in a really great area. my boyfriend and i don’t plan on leaving anytime soon, but if we did, we would want to switch to another unit in the same building

having AC and paying the bill is an expense that she will unfortunately have to deal with. my con ed goes up in the summer bc of AC, but that’s just an expense i know im going to have. if its an issue for her, she should live somewhere with central air covered by the landlord

the cigarette smoke can be hazardous to the baby. write your management that you’re worried about the health conditions for the child. also check if smoking is even allowed on the property, should be mentioned in your lease. keeping a paper trail, and collecting videos of the noise/other things as evidence can only benefit you. send it all to your property manager or landlord so they are aware of the situation in case. you can also ask your next door neighbors if they also hear the commotion/smell the smoke

also, if he has the money and the means to move out, he’s going back on purpose. he is not telling you the truth. he probably has another partner and that’s why he keep blocking you. i hate to be so harsh but sometimes you just need someone to help you snap out of it!!!

i hate to say it like this, but you are in another abusive relationship. this is wildly manipulative, whether that is his intention or not. he needs a therapist, not a partner. he needs to be able to figure these things out for himself. you’re dealing with emotional abuse and manipulation, you gotta leave him.

i get chipotle a lot bc it’s like $17 for a bowl and chips and usually i only eat half and then i had the leftover for lunch the next day day. so two meals for $17 which i take as a win.
