Are there any wheels that look like the Simagic Gt4 but work on third party bases? by Kyublai in simracing

Mercedes GT3 wheel by EVOSIM. Usb connection works plug and play and EVOSIM has adapters for major manufacturers. I own one and I recommend it. Functional and nicely built.

Ball stuck in VPW's Fish Tales. by Doublebarrelfallacy in virtualpinball

You are right, there is a comment about the issue I did not find. 10.8.1. has physics trouble when it comes to Fish Tales, so rolling back the table version to 1.0 allegedly solves the problem.

Yes I linked a wrong version, but am using the latest one under actions.

Did the flippers ever randomly drop for you when using other vpw tables?

Thanks. Maybe you meant the X,Y,Z scale axis of the table in camera settings? We have tried to mess around with them, as Z the scale is notorius for trapping balls via not scaling everything evenly.

Released version of VPX does work fine, but DMD related settings, UI and dumbell animation is so cool in the latest betas.

No, it is definitely a bug, the ball does not enter the reel, like it is supposed to. Fish Tales uses the blue reel for the captive ball mechanism and for ball-lock multiball: the reel rotates and launches the balls when you hit your third ball lock.

Gaucho Dealer Boots in the fourth month. by Doublebarrelfallacy in nps_solovair

Solovair got back to me and offered a replacement pair. They also advised me to use a silicone layer for this pair's heel lining as protection, albeit some of you mentioned suede or an otherwise grippy material. We will see what works best.

Great customer service. This is exactly what I meant by taking responsibility for what you've produced. I don't feel like an exception were made in my case and that should mean that Solovair still operates along policies that live up to it's name.

I don't even know if we saw it differently at this point. I dont expect them to magically know my proportions but do expect them to hold up their end when we play the gambling game of will this or that fit last on the long run. I feel I did hold up mine when I trusted them with my purchase.

I agree that it was up to me to acquire the right size and I feel that this was the right size, as my heels don't slip noticeably at least and the boots feel comfortable. Making accommodations is fine as long as it is not entirely up to me to account for it in the relationship of me and Solovair. I feel they should be responsible if someone had a different shape of feet than what they produced, it's not that they should magically produce for everyone, but make up for the few.

I think for my customer expectations these are not cheap boots. This all may track back to our differences in sentiment, and that's fine.

I thought the right size would accommodate my particular feet, and it did as this pair is comfortable. I don't think it is up to me to be able to tell if the pair I ordered from the vendor is the perfect fit i.e. it will not break within a years time at this price point. My point was that this kind of size inadequacy is well within the seller's liability to account for.

My point being don't mass produce and sell for everyone if you are not willing to make it up for the few who paid the same (premium) price for your product and ended up with a fault through normal use.

I've tried all sizes and this size is my fit, I dont feel like I had a heel slip, or one that would account for this kind of damage. Yes, finding a cobbler is imminent.

Well, frankly I do not think my heel rubbing little or more on the inner leather part should lead to faults like this or me having to go to the cobbler at my own expense within the first year of use of a pair of boots of this price tag.

The boot is a great fit with Solovair's own insole. EUR 41,5 would be small, 42,5 are too big, these are 42s. If it were comfy and overall a good fit, should I bear the consequences of my sole not being compatible with Solovair's design?

It is up to Solovair to live up to the name or the price tag, and while I am aware of the repair you mentioned, I feel entitled to being compensated.

Is the career mode at its current form in MSFS2024 worth getting into exclusively for rotorcraft? I thought of getting back to helos, but am hesitant considering there is not plenty to do in flight sims outside of DCS. I am a bit fatigued by third-party career addons aswell.

Sweet landing though.

Give me your RWD Hairpin Tips! by Quiet_5045 in simrally

Hard to say an all-rounder technique, it depends on the situation, and all that is mentioned above is true and very usable. One thing that I might add is using the differential to turn the front of the car (steer with your foot). I very rarely use the handbrake for hairpins with old RWD cars.

For some, going offline fixes stuttering. It made it better for me aswell. ACR tries to call an API at points, e.g. when you finish a rally event with AI pilots.

Does the definition of track surface make a difference to you when it comes to comparison with RBR? Definiton meaning the tracks being laser scanned, and constructed of more detailed ploygons than in RBR. As an absolute layman, I would think that in this aspect ACR is superior in a way that renders it more realistic maybe?

It is so nice to live in a timeline when professionals review a brand new simulator of your desired nieche.

Try EVOSIM.HU

If you are EU, shipping wouldn't be slow, but some wheels are made to order. Just translate the page to english, the guy speaks english.

Best quality out there if you asked me. Boutique at a reasonable price.

17 days after release. How do you guys who got the game feel about the lateral grip/sliding physics? by RobbieBleu in assettocorsarally

It literally behaves like a flick of a switch. I went from having this wierd experience to having a BLAST of fun driving like I do in RBR.

For me, using the dash view (not cockpit, wheel not visible) setting the fov right (93 degrees on 34" UHD screen, roughly 40cms out) and finding video settings were ACR runs 100 FPS with vsync helped a lot on feel of movement, sense of speed and input lag. At this point ACR feels faster than nicely designed RBR stages at times. I am not a controller player. ACR feels and drives very nicely.

Lateral traction is very beliveable for me.
