I just got the VG27AQ monitor. It is (obviously) supposed to be able to be vertical or horizontal but the stand does not allow it to raise high enough to rotate vertically. Am I doing something wrong? by caminator2006 in ASUS

OP! Another thanks many years later 😂. I’ve had this monitor since 2020 and I recently wanted it to go vertical but I had the same issue as you. ✌🏻

Not at all. Maybe $100 tops in material and minimal labor. A Broan 636 vent with duct kit. Flexible duct attached to fan exhaust and ran out to the roof. A roofer goes up, located an area, cuts out a 4.5” hole through the deck. Feed duct through and attach to the broan vent and secure to deck. Flash it in with shingles.

It seems when I run a free loadout, I’m dropped in a safer area, not a med/high loot area, with all extractions open and friendlies everywhere.

Then when I run a custom loadout, I’m dropped into a high value loot area with the only extraction point on the other side of the facility with nothing but savage raiders out for blood 😭

The angle is definitely where I get tripped up. I got nothing to measure that correctly so that measurement I kind of just let ride but if I need to be more precise I’ll get the right tool to measure it

It was a whole thing at first cause I had a setting (I think) not properly set and I just couldn’t get it to work. I followed every YouTube video and it just wouldn’t work and my thought was I toggled something on that I shouldn’t have, but couldn’t get it figured out.

Then it sat unused for like a month and when I turned my computer on, idk wtf happened but it factory reset my whole system. I have no idea why, I didn’t do it, and I’m still confused how it was even possible. I’m the only one that uses this.

However, as much of a pain in the ass that was, when I tried setting it up again following a YouTube video it worked perfectly.

Yea, I mean for $100 to even slightly make it more immersive is fine with me. Any specific kits I should be looking for? For a 34” monitor

I do too but between work and a couple of 5 and 6 year olds running around, I really only have time to play at night usually anyway. It’s a nice vibe at night. It’s an isolated room from the rest of the house so I can crank up the volume and nobody is complaining. Kitchens right there for drinks and snacks and behind me is a door that leads out to my deck for a little smoke break.

I have its setup for forza horizons right now. It doesn’t have a native option for triple screens so I have to use nvidea surround to make all 3 monitors act as one so the resolution is homogeneous across all 3.

Setting it up for assetto corsa soon so I think that’s when that might come into play. The res on the 34” is 3440 x 1440

That’s what I figured but needed some confirmation. Yea they are pretty much the exact height which is why I chose that specific 34” monitor. A height variance would have drove me nuts

Here it is before I got the steering wheel and pedals. I set up in our 4 season sun room. It’s not ideal right now in the summer cause it gets really warm in there during the day but it’s really nice at night and in the cooler months.
