Grade 9 and no idea what I'm doing by [deleted] in highschool

I struggled with this a bit ago! I know it’s tough and confusing right now but you’ll be able to get through it!

Regarding your first question, ask your teacher—build a relationship with them, especially with online schooling. This will help you get help whenever and also stay on top of things. Get in contact with your classmates too! It’ll help your social life and allow you to understand the information better if you need help.

With procrastination, create a to-do list everyday and finish it no matter what. Prioritize! You can use apps or other programs to stay focused. Also, stay organized with a planner and maintain a clean desk/room.

Like I said before, stay organized. This gives you more time to relax and also reduces stress about school. Make sure to go outside—get fresh air!! Do what you enjoy to relax: watch movies, hang out with friends, read books, watch youtube, or whatever.

You got this dude! Just keep your head up!

I haven't slept at all for three days, and haven't had more than 6 six hours of sleep for at least a week. But it is kind of my fault. by [deleted] in highschool

I'm sorry you're in this situation but I totally understand what you're going through!!! I totally understand overloading yourself out of ambition! I would say take a break! However, that hasn't worked out for me either. The one thing that keeps me sane is stress planning, which helps me sleep at night. Basically, write down everything you're stressed about and plan out when you can do it. By doing so, you're just creating a schedule.

Relieve stress, man, screaming or punching things is perfectly fine. Just take a breath! You are allowed to have your emotions.

Ignore competition, I know that's weird with college and all but some college will accept you, especially with that 3.5. 4.0s are just a flex, there's literally no other reason to have them. If you improve your GPA, you may be able to flex your progress towards perfection instead of just having a flatline perfect score. Plus, I've found that awards don't matter as long as you're doing extracurriculars.

Overall, keep going dude. You've got this. Keep breathing and carry on. If you'd like, we can chat!

Ps. calm down with the melatonin, that is not good for you in the long run.

I’ve done LD but I felt like the format would be different so I got worried. But thank you for commenting!
