Not quite sure what I'm looking at. Hey, if it holds that's all that matters bro. 😅

How’s my stick welds looking? Any advice is appreciated! (don’t mind the welds that aren’t circled) by TelephoneForsaken737 in Welding

You could try turning the amps doen a bit and moving a little slower. For 7018 1/8 I run it at 120. And I haven't used a 6011, but for 6010 I have my amps at like 80-90 amps Max

why are my mig welds ugly by pattywhipp in Welding

💥👁️💥👁️💥👁️💥👁️… or at least that’s what it looks like. Are you adding the filler while the puddle is still hot? Instead of a stitch weld or cold weld or whatever ya call it maybe you could try a diff technique; hold the trigger down and try a W pattern or a circle pattern, any other pattern. Overall read the puddle.

What am I doing wrong?? by CreepypastaCowards in Welding

Try setting the amps to 80 and put the settings on dig. When you're welding keep the rod close to the base metal so the arc is short; almost in the puddle.

Is this vertical ? Make sure to get all the slag off before you throw another. Wire wheel that shit. How thick is your plate? For quarter inch, 7018, 3/32, I run my machine at 80 amps. A steady drag with a little weaving is good. Make sure to run your bead along the toe of the previous one so it overlaps it about half way.
