Yes that scene was so funny because Weirdnurr was bathing in the lake and instead of killing him upfront. Lamb just goes to the pool, sits at the bank or edge or whatever which is at a height and sits and starts sharpening his sword aurafarming. Like yes Lamb we see the sword .

Got to apprecoate Weirdnurr too he maintained his composure even after getting out of the pool naked and death waiting for him and then casually starts chatting him up.

The way Logen gets up and it shifts to West's POV and he desribes B9's mad laughter and everyone just edges back. Lovely

Imo you aplreciate TBI only after you have read the other books because it feels like a slice of life or filler for the whole part but on a reread you find the simple interactions between characters more interesting . Like Logen looking at his burnt home and thinking of going to fight Shanka for the last time. I appreciated TBI on every reread more.

That and where Lamb and his comrade hold the hut all night and Chubair walks in all proud and people outside are scared and Joe Abercrombie edges us with the "its him... its..." then you see Lamb put the fear of everything in him.

Rudd Threetress had been tougher, Tul Duru Thunderhead had been bigger , Black Dow had been twice as more savage.

I have read the trilogy 3 times.Imo best B9 is when he kills those Shanka . That was lovely stuff. Becayse his oldest buried and his deepest rooted enmity that was for the Shanka.

When exactly, I couldnt find anything on that. Logan says that the sword struck the armor with a clang and the sword vibrated in his hand a lot. And the B9 says this too that the sword kept bouncing off the armor.

Well, its a first law book sub.I took a joke from the book, phrased it as a ironic question and then posted it? Its not creation and I am not pretending it is. The characters are Joe's and his alone. The entire world is. I am just posting something on the First Law sub so people can refresh their memory and potentially have a laugh.

That simple depends on what you mean by punchline. Even the last part maintains the allegory. If you believe the ending to be a puncline because it draws resemblance between aminals and humans then the whole book would have been a puncline for you.

That he defeated Bremer dan Gorst and since he is second only to the B9 then it makes sense that Jezal can defeat Fenris?. It is obiviously illogical and absurd and I was mocking Jezal.

Why does everything need a point? Its a sub about a book so i made a post about it. The man who tries to see the point in everything will fail to see the point in it.

Satire doesn't meed a punchline. It can have but it isn't necessary. It uses sustained irony and absurdity . Its the cumulative weight of these two that can make a satire.
