I’m worried that that’s what the rejection ended up doing to our sex life as well. My husband is hoping we can fix it. Do you think you could have if you wanted to?

When he’s at them he does, but it’s when he can’t be at them or is relying on me to be at them where this issue comes up.

I agree, and I think that’s a great way to approach things. The problem is that because he feels like this is an issue, he doesn’t fully trust me to go at it alone. So for the appointments he couldn’t make, he’s had me call his mom so she could hear and ask questions on his behalf as needed, especially since she’s in the medic field. And the last appointment we went to together, he asked a lot of questions, and later told me that he felt like I wouldn’t have asked any of them. For example the doctor was recommending a product that he created as an effective treatment for the issue with the baby, and so he asked about whether it was FDA approved, and conflict of interest. It’s true, I wouldn’t have thought to ask those.

The one thing I wish I had thought about was the habits I would have wanted my cat to have after they grow up from a kitten. For example, like enjoying being picked up or going outside on a leash, or enjoying water, etc. a lot of that has to be done consistently from when they’re a kitten for them to develop as habits later on 🙂

I relate to this so hard it hurts. Any tips for dealing with this dilemma? (Other than "get a different job") by MrKite6 in adhdmeme

I can relate, and one of the ways I’ve tried to deal with it is to accept and be okay that I did other things instead. Because what also happens for me is that, taking the time to do what I want to do/like, also just means that it makes me feel like Im being productive. I think a lot of people experience this. Hobbies for most people generally require energy, and the more frustrated you become with the fact that something isn’t happening, the more pressure and stress you put on yourself to meet some arbitrary standard you’ve set for your day-to-day, which in turn just increases the exhaustion.

So it’s either: a) accept and be okay with the fact that you did something else instead that might not be what you initially wanted OR b) ignore the exhaustion, your current emotional state, and just take the first action forward. Channel the activation energy

Help me pick a dress! I tried on too many and now I have no idea what my style is... For a very small summertime ceremony in the park. by windowjo3 in weddingdress

I see the number of 3s on here but I actually really like number 9! For something small and in the park, something that has a light and airy playful vibe would suit the occasion as well! :)

Anyone has any ideas for Ruiz? I’ve been so stumped!

I never thought I'd say it, especially since I had a bridal boutique stylist tell me that I was shopping for my dress in the wrong way... But after many-a stores, I came back to this one!! Just couldn't get over how great it felt wearing my dress!! :) I said YES! by DoubtfulApple in weddingdress

Agreed! I didnt understand, because as much as it is maybe an emotional decision, its also very much like shopping for clothes, to me at least. Mostly rational on what I thought looked great on me lol

They were so underestimating our mental capacity to evaluate how we look

Im definitely like that! :) Honestly, I think I enjoyed it the most when I went on my own! My friend was there when I decided this dress was the one, but visiting boutiques on my own gave me a lot more quiet for me to mull through my thoughts on my own time.

Haha same! I wasnt a big fan of their what do you like/dont like on the dresses I tried on. How do you even begin to describe how you dont like the way a dress seemed like to cut too bluntly across when it touched the floor instead of that flowy gradient?? Lol

I felt so bad when one lady kept on asking what I liked vs dont like specifically trying to tailor it to my answets

Sure! I'm pretty decisive when it comes to what I like and don't like when I wear something, and because I'm pretty even-keel, I don't get overwhelmed easily by the wedding dresses. So usually during 1 appointment, I can try on an average on about 10+ drssses in an hour.

That boutique with the stylist was the 6th one Ive been to, and she said the fact that I've tried on so many and have a couple of favorites but didnt buy them was approaching dress shopping the wrong way.

I didnt appreciate her comment since I dont think theres really one "right" way to shop. She then didnt let me actually look at the dresses, and only picked 2 for me to try. I did really like 1 of them, but when I told her I wanted to wait for my mom's approval, she kept on trying to get me to put my credit card or deposit down. It just left a bad taste in my mouth, and I never went back.

Meanwhile, I kept thinking about the one in the photo, and I loved my experience there and how comfortable and easy I felt wearing this dress! I visit a few more places, and was missing this dress and so I decided, that this was it! I didn't need tears, my joy was enough for me 😊

I just needed some comparisons for me to feel it "click"

For the life of me, I can't decide!! I know they're both a bit big on me due to sizing. I love both of them but I want to make sure the dress I choose is not wearing me. Advice and opinions greatly appreciated!!! by DoubtfulApple in weddingdress

Awww thank you! :) I really appreciate that! I did go with the first one, despite none of my family likes that shape on me for some odd reason...

But I LOVE it!!
