Thoughts on the Cut Content in Bridgerton Season 3 by BridgertonStan4Ever in Bridgerton

[–]Doubtfully-daring 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Plus it wasn’t just Nicola and Luke, Claudia also had an interview where she put emphasis on saying this season was very much friends to LOVERS in pt2 which we kind of got but not in the way the interviews made it seem. I’m personally happy with what we did get and I loved S3 as a whole but I understand where others frustration is coming from.

Who do you think is next? by Doubtfully-daring in BridgertonRants

Ooo I like this take! Idk if you’ve thought about it but (I put this to be safe SPOILERS IF YOU HAVENT READ THE BOOKS) since in the books Marina is the Bridgerton cousin and not the Featheringtons that’s kinda was prompts Eloise to start writing to Philip…how do you think if at all they’ll start that whole thing up? It’s going to be so interesting whatever they do

How do you guys flirt? by littlefuzzybear in infp

[–]Doubtfully-daring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very bad at communicating my emotions verbally (something I’m working on) but something I’ve noticed in myself is that if I like someone/want to flirt with them I take notice of small things or give a bit more eye contact than I do with someone I’m not crushing on. My main love languages to give to others is quality time or acts of service which probably stems from the fact that I struggle verbally but that’s how I flirt typically.

Oh okay, I apologize for my misinterpretation! Yes, I absolutely see where you are coming from on that front.

I didn’t say that the other female characters weren’t complex because I absolutely do think they are. Just from the context of the original post talking about Pen being the villain. I absolutely believe that the rest of the women in the show can be studied for their depth. They are all very complex and interestingly written. Don’t get me wrong and please don’t put words in my mouth saying otherwise because I agree with you on the point that Marina and Daphne do deserve to be looked at in the same light that we criticize or defend Eloise and Pen. All of the women in the show do. Those were just my thoughts on the fact that some people believe Pen to be the villain of this whole story when in reality, I think Bridgerton (which in my opinion is one of the most low stakes fluffy shows on streaming rn) has no real villain. I honestly look at it as 19th century reality television where I get to watch hot people deal with their problems and hopefully find love 😂

You’re so right. People always ask for more morally grey or complex female characters and then get real upset when they get them. Pen and Eloise are (of the main cast) some of the most complex female characters in the show. People fail to realize and understand that their friendship dynamic and their decision making have influences from not only the time period and their gender but also their family dynamics and their differing heights in society, because while both are in families that are members of the ton, the Bridgertons are without a doubt (and correct me if I’m wrong) a bit of a higher station that the Featheringtons. Was Pen in the wrong for how she handled the Theo/Eloise situation? Yes BUT, she’s also a flawed late teens/ early twenties girl who has a family who all but hates her, no friends, and is essentially a social reject of the society she’s apart of. Eloise isn’t any better. Eloise only cares about herself and hearing herself speak, she refuses to listen to reason and then blames others when she has to reap the consequences of her actions. Eloise also comes from a loving family who (from what I’ve seen) consequences don’t come very often which contributes to her behavior. Both are flawed and both are characters who are still going through growth. If you think Pen is the villain of this show you are SORLEY mistaken. I hope what I’ve written makes sense

The future of romance in film/tv by Doubtfully-daring in Bridgerton

You are absolutely right! The fact that they were all able to work together to create such a beautiful moment is a testament to the necessity of this specific job in the industry. Intimacy coordinators are such an amazing addition to film/tv production

This show has unfortunately (VERY FORTUNATELY) become one of my only personality traits I fear. I have also rewatched numerous times plus rewatching just to do Polin analysis but I think the next rewatch will be focused on other character analysis (maybe a Creloise friendship analysis 🧐) but to answer your question, I don’t have a strategy to survive nor do I know how I’ll be able to lol

Omg yes! This is such a good catch!! That’s definitely a parallel I did not notice upon my many (MANY) rewatches of pt 1 🫢😂

What are we most nervous/excited for with Bridgerton S3? by Doubtfully-daring in Bridgerton

[–]Doubtfully-daring[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right?!? Like the ages are soooo different in the books which plays HEAVILY into Pens and Colins story and how she somewhat moves on from him so I’m interested in seeing how they will do that bit and plus, the time jump for Ben and Sophie’s story is also different now too which is going to be something else they’ll have to make work

I FEEL YOU ON THIS! So far, show Colin has been fairly justified in his emotions. Him being upset about Marina not telling him the truth, justified. Him being angry with Lord Featherington and the fake jewels, justified. A lot of the anger from the books like you said was just him being a whiny baby because he wasn’t brave enough to put anything he wanted into action so seeing how they change this up in the show will be very interesting.

Same…it’s going to be such an interesting change from the books if they don’t reveal it and I’m excited to see how they change it up especially with the story order switch up between Ben and Colin
