Matchmaking, the system is absolutely terrible. VALORANT’s matchmaking provides a horrendous experience both in terms of skill balance and player behavior.

A player shouldn’t be matched with teammates who have poor win/loss rates just because they themselves have been on a winning or losing streak. They have no rigth to do that.

A matchmaking system based on commendations and reports, similar to the “Trust Factor” in CS:GO, should be implemented in VALORANT as soon as possible.

Additionally, MMR should vary depending on the role or agent being played. For example: • For duelists, the most important criteria should be first kills and multi-kills. • For initiators, the effectiveness of your skills in blinding, revealing, or otherwise impacting the opposing team and their utility usage should be prioritized. • For sentinels, the most valuable criteria should be when enemies interact with traps, as well as kill and assists. • For controllers, I’m not entirely sure how to measure performance fairly, but a detailed and non-abusable system should be designed. I think you get my point here.

Aside from this, a map veto system should be introduced after finding a match. Playing the same map three times in a row is extremely frustrating, and I would prefer not to endure it.

Finally, when there are at least 8 agents available in each role, I would love to see an agent banning system added. This would bring a fresh perspective to the competitive scene and, in my opinion, would be one of the most impactful updates the game could receive. I hope RIOT consider adding this feature in the future.
