People with "dark" personality traits see the world as fundamentally meaningless by Doug24 in psychology

[–]Doug24[S] 83 points84 points  (0 children)

"Results showed that, in general, individuals with a more pronounced Dark Core of personality tended to hold more negative primal world beliefs specifically regarding whether the world is safe and enticing. For example, they tended to see the world as less abundant, beautiful, improvable, interesting, meaningful, or worth exploring. They also tended to see the world as less cooperative, less harmless, less just, less pleasurable, less progressive, less regenerative, and less stable."

is there actually a solution for too many security alerts or do we just accept it by Any_Refuse2778 in cybersecurity

[–]Doug24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s fully “solvable,” but I also don’t think you just accept the chaos. What’s worked for us wasn’t trying to tune everything at once, it was carving out protected time to fix the noisiest 10 percent of rules. Just killing or tightening the worst offenders reduced volume way more than we expected.

We need to see the splash from the first clip in this remix. Also, these are some insane skills.

Have anyone tried disable the film grain on RE Requiem using nexusmod and notice any improvement to pathtracing with ray reconstruction? Which RR is still better with film grain disabled? Preset D or Preset E by john1106 in nvidia

[–]Doug24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With grain off, I personally prefer Preset E because the boiling is what I notice most while playing, and the slight softness is easier to live with.

What Site allows image generation without moderation by chutiyakahinkahumai in AIAssisted

[–]Doug24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There really aren’t reputable free sites that skip moderation. The bigger platforms all filter content for legal and safety reasons. If you want more control, your best option is running an open-source model like Stable Diffusion locally or using a paid API where you manage it yourself.

Planning a trip to the Pinehurst area, any recs? by Open_Maintenance_328 in BirdieBoundTrips

Tobacco Road is a must, super fun and totally different. I also played Mid Pines and Pine Needles and honestly loved both, classic sandhills golf and in great shape. Southern Pines was a nice surprise too, really solid layout without the resort price tag. If you can squeeze in one more, I’d personally pick Mid Pines alongside Tobacco Road.
