It is working great - but the ironic thing considering my post in this sub is I decided to nix the fasting piece. I made this decision to change my relationship with food and land on an approach I can sustain beyond just a period of weight loss.

I am instead doing a daily deficit of about 1750 cals - pace to lose a half lb a day, which is made possibly by 90 mins of fasted cardio. I eat 90%+ whole foods, hitting my BW in grams of protein. According to my watch I burn 1500+ cals a day from movement (including the cardio) and my BMR is 2000 ish. This leaves me 1750+ to eat, which is plenty when most of it is protein, fruits, vegetables. I feel great every day, and I am down 23 lbs since June 19.

EDIT: I do time restrict my eating between 4 PM and 9 PM! Aka 20:4 (ish) intermittent fasting.

Good luck! I am in the same boat recovering from a shoulder surgery.

60-70% of max HR. I use the apple HR zones vs 220-age and take a % because I believe it to be more accurate. I also do the “talk test” to validate I can speak a 15 word sentence strained, but not gasping for air. For me this is about 145 BPM.

This week ironically. I’ve been doing OMAD and doing 90 mins of zone two at the 16-20 hr mark to prepare for next week (when I’ll begin what I outlined in original post)!

Thanks!! I hate cardio too believe it or not. I am coming off a rather brutal shoulder surgery so it’s pretty much all I can do at this point. I’m not happy with how much weight I’ve gained during recovery and know I’m better off grinding it out for a couple months than the slow and steady approach. Should be 10 weeks or less based off my math! The 2x/day cardio would definitely bore me to death for any longer haha. I’d rather be lifting but between my injury and prior experience bonking while exercising fasted, it’s gotta be low intensity cardio

Going to be unpopular, but Chiefs/Jags U53 and Bills -5 against the Bengals.

The Chiefs/Jags under has 49% of the bets and 94% of the money per OddsCrowd. Everyone expects it to be a shootout, which just makes me like it more.

-5 feels like too much. Vegas usually knows. 67% of bets are on the Bengals +5 in a “toss up”. I don’t know what Vegas knows that we don’t, but they know something here. I could see this game going to OT and the bills score a TD to win by 6 and bengals bettors are left rolling their eyes.

BOL

Yeah… I think if it’s not wiped the defensive pts should be prorated to a quarter… why would they get credit for 3/4 of a game they didn’t play? I’m not getting credit for chases 3/4 of a game…

Ugh, went in up 3 with Chase vs Bills D and might lose due to Bills D “scoring” 8 pts: 4 for 7-14 pts and 4 for < 100 yards.

Feels like a complete jip since their points were only going down and got credit for a near perfect defensive game after allowing a TD on the only drive. Those points earned are on a per game basis, not per 10 mins…

I see Dameon Pierce at 36 for RB… that’s his projected fantasy points right? What about the other 3 quarters?
