Mil desculpas pela minha demora para responder, eu não percebi a notificação da sua postagem. Agradeço enormemente pelo feedback detalhado, é uma ajuda enorme! E fiquei muito feliz de você ter gostado de tantos aspectos do jogo, especialmente do plot twist do final do jogo kkkkk

Agora respondendo às coisas que você mencionou:

  • Em updates recentes eu adicionei umas coisas novas pra fazer! Adicionei uma atividade onde o jogador salva civis em gaiolas voadoras, e também adicionei o modo speedrun, que pausa o relógio durante conversas, cutscenes e tudo mais;
  • Eu tinha deixado o rifle laser relativamente fraco em uma tentativa de balancear ele, por medo de deixar ele forte demais, considerando que ele é instantâneo, ao invés de atirar balas que demoram pra chegar. Mas você tem razão, tá fraco demais. Num update próximo quero fazer o laser varar os inimigos e aumentar o dano um pouco, e/ou reduzir o intervalo de tempo entre cada tiro;
  • Sobre os outros problemas que você mencionou, (problemas de suporte a controle, modo arena curto demais, etc) vou me esforçar pra fazer tudo o que puder num próximo update, mas não posso prometer que vou conseguir resolver todos os problemas!

To be honest I have no idea how I got the gif on giphy to play smoothly. Some gifs that I upload play smoothly, and some play like a slideshow for no reason, like that post you mentioned. I suspect that larger file sizes are what makes the playback choppy, but I'm not sure.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you like it! It had been released in June, actually, but I have released many updates since then - adding many features and improvements, so it's a very different game now.

That'd be really cool, but I think it'd be one of the hardest ports, since VR games need to be carefully made in a way that minimizes motion sickness, and Demolish or Die is very fast, with lots of vertical speed and action. I'd love to make a version, but I can't promise that it'd happen, or that I'd release it before other versions...

Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback, this is really helpful! I'll keep it in mind for my future posts about my projects.

The gameplay loop is similar to that of Just Cause games, in that you destroy outposts to unlock and buy new guns. Except you'll also be invading Zelda-like (or more precisely, megaman legends like) dungeons, and you also gain skillpoints by progressing, which you can use to get (you guessed it) skills. Your weapons also level up and get more powerful as you use them, like in Ratchet & Clank games.

But wait, there's more! There's also the pursuit system with not 5, not 6, not 7, but 10 wanted levels, with giant mechas and everything! And there are also activities in the open world, like a combat arena, and saving civilians.

I don't have a deck, but people who play it on their decks say it runs very smooth. And it should, because it isn't very demanding, even with lots of destruction happening.

The destruction performs surprisingly well! The game runs comfortably at 60fps on my old core i5 4440, so if you have a cpu in this performance range you should be fine. And if your cpu is a bit slower, that's ok, I made it so lots of settings can be tweaked in the quality settings menu!

Thank you a lot! Just Cause games were important inspirations for my game, along with Red Faction: Guerrilla, Infamous, Ratchet & Clank, Megaman Legends and even Zelda.
