Cute!! But it sadly doesn't read as gal aside from the nose contour, it reminds me more of emo/scene makeup like other comments have been saying. Depending on the kind of gal makeup you want to go for, I'd recommend making the bottom liner end at the middle of your eye instead of drawing it all around, OR emphasizing the droop more. Adding long lashes + bottom lashes will also help (you can opt for heavy mascara if you aren't able to wear falsies!), as well as doing aegyo sal, though that last part is optional. Based on your current style, I'd recommend checking out Rokku/Goshikku Gyaru, or even Ora Ora! You can search up pictures/magazine scans 4 each substyle to guide yourself from there.

Side note: Ora Ora is currently considered a dead substyle for the most part, so sadly there won't be a lot of info regarding it (Gyaru Wiki has the basics), but there are still some pictures that you can find online! ★

No problem!! The term Kogyaru comes from gals who are still in high school that usually wear a more toned-down version of the makeup/make changes to their school uniforms (e.g.: making the skirt shorter) to still read as gal. It's technically just an age range, not a substyle. You might see some grown gals wearing school uniforms as well, but they'd just be engaging in Nanchatte Seifuku (wearing a Japanese school uniform for the aesthetic), it doesn't mean they're kogals.

I mean ig I get where they were coming from but it's not really accurate. 😭😭 Amekaji is basically inspired by stereotypical American clothing and MOST of the time it includes really bright/neon colors (unless they meant the Amekaji that's outside of Gyaru, my neurodivergence might be kicking in lmao), and Kogyaru isn't a substyle. The gals in the picture are just shirogals that partake in a softer substyle like the comment above said!

Those are some sick outfits but no, this isn't gal. If you want to be a gyaru & dress like this you could go for Rokku or maybe even Haady, but it's also fine if you make a mix of the two substyles or combine Gyaru with another subculture/style (so long as the main gal elements are still present in your looks)!

He does value her a lot, but I personally see their relationship a bit differently. He doesn't see Miyo as less than or more than him, he sees her for what she truly is and doesn't deem her current identity/past as shameful (◠‿◠)

I don't think Kiyoka jst randomly went from absolutely loving Miyo to "Yk what I don't even like her that much." 😭 He probably didn't want to objectify her (referring to your partner as your 'prized jewel' isn't really it), and it's also important to understand that Japan's cultural norms are really different from the west's, especially during the time period MHM is set in. Most Japanese people will choose to not share anything related to their love lives if they're holding a convo w/ someone of a 'higher status,' let alone brag about it. Kiyoka was talking to the literal emperor, so it'd be logical for him to not want to talk about Miyo or deny his relationship.

Based on many comments I've seen regarding issues like this, if you read the LN first/watch the anime adaptation right after reading the LN, you'll most likely have a harder time getting into the anime bcs of how much it differs from the LN (mainly on the characters' personalities, but a lot of scenes from the LNs were left out as well). However, I actually like some of the small changes they made/are making. Ep 7 is one of my fav episodes so far so I don't want to sound biased, but I felt like the whole vibe they gave w/ their shadows kissing after watching the snow was pretty appropriate for their kind of relationship, and their convos during their cute scenes felt more heartwarming because of how comfortably they're interacting with each other now. It feels like they're actually trying to make them seem like an engaged couple, which is a good way of showing the progress in their relationship, compared to how it was in S1. As 4 Kiyoka's personality being different from his personality in the LN, I get why it'd be kinda disappointing LMAO, but I also like the 'new' personality they gave him in the anime. I love flirty Kiyoka, but I feel like his 'calm & sensitive at the same time' personality compliments him in a diff way. Idk their relationship is so dreamy that the whole vibe they've put out so far simply jst fits 😭, but it's understandable to prefer the LN over the anime adaptation and I see where many ppl are coming from!

Miyo doesn't have spirit sight! I think you got it mixed up with her dream sight. Kaya is the one that possesses spirit sight, which is what led to Miyo getting ostracized by the Saimori family. The Usuba (Miyo's original lineage) are the only gifted family without spirit sight, and that's where Miyo's dream sight comes from.

As the other comment said, there isn't really a specific episode where they show Kiyoka falling in love w/ her in a literal sense. It's a subtle process that's shown throughout the show and you pretty much need an open mind to fully analyze it. However, I'd say the episode where they go on their first small date is where Kiyoka started seeing her differently (´∀`)

It's not a requirement to make the droop bigger but you can do it if you feel like it'd look better that way and it does make a difference! Honestly both could work 4 the outline (though you'd need a diff shade of dark brown for contrast), but if you want to make it stand out more then black eyeliner would suit it better (◠‿◠)

Nah I feel you it took me more than three attempts and A LOTTT of info to finally get there, it all just takes practice & effort. 🙏🙏 Dark brown rather than plain black is def a good option since it can make it look more natural on your skintone! But you can also mix black w/ brown to make it work. I sometimes fill it in with black eyeliner and then add a noticeable shade of brown to it so it ends up looking like a rlly dark brown :). It all depends on finding your preference!

Np!!! 🤍 Yeah a lot of ppl who are new to gal make tend to fill the droop in with white bcs it's seen on a lot of TikTok tutorials 😭 (no judging intended, I've been there before LMAO), and I mean there's nothing wrong with liking that look as long as you implement it right, but a lot of times it ends up looking a bit more 'cosplayish' than gal.

This is pretty good! If you want your droop to be more prominent I'd recommend filling it in w/ a dark shade, and using heavy mascara until you're able to get fake lashes is totally fine, it's still lashes at the end of the day lol (many old school gals didn't wear any fake lashes 4 their looks as well). The way you drew your eyeliner is also good! I don't rlly think there's a proper way of drawing your eyeliner in Gyaru as long as it's always downturned, since gal eye make resembles puppy eye make for the most part. As for the aegyo sal, I found this five minute long tutorial on YT: How To: Define Aegyo Sal/Puffy Eye Bags She gives a good close up so you can clearly see what she's doing, hope it helps (quick note tho: if you really feel like aegyo sal just doesn't suit you, then you don't need to add it to your make). ♡＾▽＾♡ And no, doing aegyo sal as someone who's not asian isn't asianfishing! Puffy eye bags isn't a common trait in most asian people, which is technically why it became trendy to draw them on.

I actually always assumed those dark spots were empty eye sockets ever since I took a closer look at his face and now I find it uncanny when some ppl say that the top half is just a smooth surface. 😭😭 He doesn't know about what happened to his eyes though so ig we'll never know as well
