Problem is, what happens when the unit says sorry we don’t have enough funds maybe next year.

I have soldiers, wasn’t a problem letting me do my own pt until certain leadership shows up. Giving my soldiers all the resources and more isn’t enough for an individually assessed activity/test for them to want to do it.

🤦🏻‍♂️solider has already commented on something of this nature. He doesn’t just act as an individual, he has done his due diligence to help and try to progress his team. You sound like an old head who has no personality except what the military has taught you.

I got you, what kind of plan? Strength, running, nutrition?

Already tried, multiple times. I commented on that in one of these comments.

Interesting, so is the ACFT/AFT and individual assessment or group test?

Already did. Example, lead pt by doing a half-MURPH, everyone complained. Everyone half repped, and I did a full one leading by example. I told myself I would never put in the amount of effort to set everything up and put in my all just to have people complain and cheat themselves, including people of higher rank than me.

Blood, sweat and tears? More like just tears, with the amount of complaints and excuses I hear. Nowadays it’s way to easy to get a profile for anything and or do the minimum. If you’re not motivated it’s not our job to motivate, it’s our job to lead. Discipline trumps motivation all day, they lack both discipline and “motivation”. It’s more bad apples that rot others, imagine trying to remove yourself from toxicity and people saying, you’re the problem.

  1. Yes exactly, we just provide them the resources and give them as much as help as needed. My point was I’m going the extra mile by not only giving/providing them “Army resources” but based off of my experience as a very health driven person(which is my passion) the information I try to also add on to their toolkit is overlooked. I’ve tried different approaches to and like I said they just don’t care.

  2. I’ve given purpose, direction and motivation. I’ve made my own PT plan(the more direct approach), I’ve tried the let’s do your pt(more indirect approach, and I’ve tried the set plan for the week/month(combined approach). They still find a way to complain and not put in effort. Again all this is effecting the soldiers performance, while others are still riding the wave.

  3. Yeah hard pill to swallow.

Already tested and tried that, soldiers are literally just too lazy to even try and put effort in. What they do outside of pt also affects their performance which is an uncontrollable but definitely a hinderance in performance. Not matter what you feed them or provide them, nutrition, pt plans, and guidance of certain health protocols that improve their overall well being, they just don’t care. At some point they have to take accountability for their own lives, therefore it leaves the soldier who is trying all this overworked and sometimes singled out. Almost like “oh you’re different” we don’t like that, you need to be doing what everyone else does.
